| good for you! as for me I haven't allowed anyone to read my manuscript .... maybe one day....
I know what you mean about hard core Christians .... I had to spend all evening with my sister last Thursday and was ready to loose my mind if I had to hear any more religious mumbo jumbo .... I want to tell her to STFU but she means well ..... she's just wasting her breath and wasting my time. We were at a meeting for our trip this summer, I'm bringing my niece along, she's a junior at Purdue University major is History so she will love our Europe trip!
I wish there was a way to know when it was you and when it was your sister!
You still didn't explain how I was "sexually compatible with myself"?

| I think he's talking about wackin' off Deb. It's moter natures relief valve, if we didn't have it our heads would explode.
As far as nature vs nurture goes, the reason it makes me want to beat my head against the wall is because as you said, some are born gay, and some choose a preference based on past experience. The question I have is: Does someone born gay decide that straight is the the way to go? Does someone born straight decide that a gay lifestyle is more benificial or practical?
True story: My wife and I have a friendship with a lesbian couple. One night at a weekend party, I got involved in a one on one conversation with "Helen". She told me that if ever she and her significant other ever broke up, she would go back to men. That's why nature vrs nuture make me crazy.
An-jel, I canmnot rationalize anything past my own existence, and even then I'm hard pressed. |

I have a difficult time reading between the lines with An-jel .... never quite know where he's coming from or if he's being funny, obnoxious or just what.
It's sometimes difficult with people with alternative lifestyles to understand where they are coming from. I know of several who are lesbians for a while then back to heterosexual relationships then back and on and on ... I personally think they are just more sexually driven women than others ... my perception only of those I know. I had one patient that wanted to be a chick from the waist on up and a dude waist on down .... weirdest damn thing! He wanted female hormones to feminize his body but still wanted to be able to function as a male ... I told him ... look I don't care which one you pick just pick one! Dude was on female hormones which made his sexual drive decrease, then wanted Viagra for his erection problem! Dude! quit taking the female hormones and you'll go back to regular erections ... talk about wanting his cake and eat it too!! LOL Some really fight there sexual preferences hard but fall back into the "secret life" on the side. You'd be amazed at how many married men have a little boyfriend fling now and then. To each there own ... it really doesn't bother me as long as they stay the hell away from kids! I hate those freaks! hate 'em, hate 'em, hate 'em!
I've seen some strange things ... we had one patient that came into our office for an doctors appt. and was dressed in a leather dominatrix outfit, tall black leather stiletto's, dog collar and all the other accouterments ... now really! who would go to there doctors office like that ... obviously this person! I should write a book about the oddities I've seen! No one would believe it. They'd make me publish under fiction!
They have done studies on identical twins where one is gay and the other one isn't. I have nephews that are so identical that when they were little I would have to write their names on their hands so I could tell the difference and one of them is gay, the other not ... and you knew when he was two years old ... lots of studies going on ... I'm sure they will figure out some theory that will be acceptable until someone challenges it with another ... this isn't a new phenomena, it's just more out in the open now.

| I think that An-jel is one who says things in jest a lot more often than people realize. Weather he does it on purpose or not I don't know. Either way I believe he gets a kick out of the reaction he gets. Personnally, I find him to be quite entertaining at times and quite intellectually stimulating as well. What do you say An-jel? Am I at least in the ball park?
To add to the topic of sexual preference, I'm sure you are aware that there is documented evidence of plenty of homosexual behavior on the animal kingdom. I recently heard that male dolphins are notoriosly famaous for homosexual behavior. I also heard that when swimming with dolphins a human must be careful of how and where they touch or they might end up on the recieving end of some mating behavior. I'm not going anywhere with this, I'm just making conversation.
DD, I love bizarre tales from the medical world. One of my favorites was one that a friend of mine told about a man who showed up at the ER with his "you know what" stuck in a three quarter inch box end wrench. I'm told the removal was not an easy process.
Last but not least, are you trying to tell me DD that it isn't acceptable for me to wear my assless chaps to the doctors? |

| Aaron Oh absolutely, by all means wear the chaps to the doc's office, bring the quirt and the pony on a stick .... just know that the story will get passed on for years. We never use names but we do tell stories about the dumb asses who come in with foreign objects in orifices .... "the guy that was gardening in the nude and fell on this trowel handle", "a guy and his poodle "stuck" together" etc .... just some sick bastards for the most part. The best ones are when these guys take to much Viagra and go around 2 and 3 days "ready for action" it gets quite painful after a while and even more painful when they have to go in and "reduce the swelling". Some guys are so stupid they'll think "hey, one worked pretty good the other night I think I'll try two (or 3) and boy does it work good!!!! Just odd some of the lengths that people will go to at times. Ever heard of a "Scat Daddy"? I won't dare say what it is on open forum just know that it is vile and disgusting ... involves ... feces ... enough said! ugh!
They supposedly have a part of the residency program with a radiologist humorously entitled "guess the foreign object" ... most docs and nurses have weird tales of odd patient behavior ... you just need to use caution when telling stories due to liability factors ... people are so litigious today, you never know what you might get sued over.
Ah, An-jel's cool, just that his sister got in under his name one night and ruined a good evening's chat between LC, jaej, myself and if I remember right a few others .... he apparently got her straightened out but sometimes I still wonder if it's her ..... don't worry I still love ya An-jel!

Now taking that out of the Equation in my Mind I know I think differently and have embraced certain ideologies that allow myself to step out of the societal mainstream. Thats why I created the Emotions thread because I am so very different and I have some big questions I want answered so I pry the knowledge from people that bring an interesting perspective or believe in something so ludicrous I have to challenge it. Or somewhere inbetween! I can say absolutely in philosophic terms I am on the right path. In relation to society I am off the stomped on, trudged, and philosophically molested path. I feel I am an original person as best as original can possibly go since I still have to exist with others.
Divineing the truth from someone is a hard thing to do and approval is a necessity. I don't need it anymore.
Your close enough in the Balllpark Aaron but I don't look for the reaction I look for the logic.
Debs why you can't read between the lines with me is because I am point blank and when you laugh it's because I am being as honest as I can. Humans make mythology strange. I simply it on the side lines and wait for people to understand the stupidities they walk into. Thats all!

| An-Jel, when you say you are on the right path, and off the worn one, do you feel you are better than everyone else?

| An-jel Nah, you've got it wrong bud .... you're mistake of not logging off damaged your credibility ..... as for reading between the lines .... you blur the lines at will ..... no big deal as far as I'm concerned ... you have your take on things as do I ... no harm no foul.
As far as you being honest ..... most of the time you are ... once in a while it borders on condescending but what the hell ... we all can be .... everyone comes here with different experiences and different educational backgrounds ... intelligence doesn't always override common sense and visa versa .... no matter what I still love chatting with you .... but only you not your zealot sister

| An-Jel, we are all very different. I feel a kinship with your statements about ideologies and walking off the beaten path. One of the things that pisses me off about people is the ability to totally disregard logic and act on assumption and emotion.
It makes no sense to me. I find it stupid and irrational. I view the world analytically with a heavy skepticism. Personally, I think my perspective is solid and true.
But, keep in mind the word "perspective". How one sees the world hinges upon this one word. I share your point of view An-Jel, but that doesn't mean we're any closer to a greater understanding than anyone else. My question is who or what defines what is logical? |

| What is the use in getting angry with people who 'don't think logically'?
