I tell you what an Asexual would be an interesting case especially emotionally.

Sorry, let me clarify:

I was assigned a report on nature verses nurture once in a psychology class. Some of my reference material reported that the "neural passage"(I don't know the technical term) between the right and left brain tended to be quite larger in females and homosexuals than hetorosexual men.

I didn't research it any farther but always have wondered if this "neural passage" is smaller in a lesbian.

In a nut shell, my question to you is:

Has there been any sort of conclusive study done to illustrate a difference in the brain functions of these sexualities?

I hope that's enough info for you to get the gist of my question. I am ignorant as far as medical terminology goes, so dumb it down if you choose to respond to my drivel.

Yes it would.

I would love to know if a true asexual has more, less or the same emotional stability as someone with a sex drive.

Is there anger at the lack of yen for someone? Is there peace because there is no need? Or, is there just as much confusion as anybody else?

Nature Vs Nurture is always excellent. Based on history there have always been bi and homosexuality. Have you ever seen a brain scan of a lesbian that has just found out she is homosexual with no experience and is it the same brain scan pattern as an experienced lesbian? Is a bisexual woman's brain scan the same as a homosexual or hetrosexuals?

I have an opinion of homosexuality but I'd like some scientific backup if anyone knows!

Nature versus nurture makes me want to beat my head against the wall.

It gets so complicated that you can't rationalize anything.

Aaron thats a simple truth.

Tell me what you can rationalize? I can't fill in the rest but I would try just because I got to see the same thing.

You know the best one to ask about the brain functions of different sexual preferences would be Og .... my knowledge base is non organic in nature. He has all the 411 on brain function. I have only read studies that show that on PET scans women and men's brain light up differently. Aaron, An-jel, the questions you ask are way beyond my knowledge. I'm sure I have something in my office about it ... finding it's the problem .... my office is wall to wall books and papers!! One day I'll sort it (yeah right).

An-jel, I'd love to here your theory regarding sexual preference! I personally believe some are born that way and some have the preference because of social and psychological issues in their past.

I don't know if asexual people are any less emotionally stable than those who are not. In fact I think there are plenty of people who just have low sex drive and are perfectly happy with that. The few nymphomaniacs that I have known have not been necessarily happy people .... they have had some difficulty with relationships and promiscuity. Think about it if you have this huge sex drive and were always seeking to fulfill that need .... you would be preoccupied to the point that you would spend too much time searching to fill that need. You also have to look at there are some women who are having a lot of sex because they missed out on male love growing up and they think sex = love. On line porn addicts ruin many marriages....

Aaron, why does nature vs nurture make you want to "beat your head" on a wall?

Deb you beat your head against a wall and you politely talk to those people. You are sexually compatible with yourself. So many.... So Many people are so sexually frustrated and they want it both ways. I am a man and I like Women period. I guess I am a lucky guy. I have no questions. I am a well endowed 6'3 babe magnet... I am 220lbs.

An-jel .... you are a goof ball! Babe magnet .... yeah right!

This must be your sister on line tonight! You wouldn't talk about yourself like this! maybe it's your sister that is 6'3", 220#????

And what does sexually "compatible with myself" that made no sense ... in fact very little of the message made sense ... so unless you want to clarify, I'll just consider it you sister and not answer ....

No thats me.

I don't get embarrassed about myself.

I think I straightened up stuff here I hope. American Christians are hard creatures to deal with.

I understand the clique. I went to a bowling alley today for fun and it was just up the road. My buddy called me. He's almost 60. He showed my writings to a Newyorker reporter. He had to pry the pages from his hands and told him to contact this and that to get me immediatly published. I am high at the moment. I am also a moderator so...
