Ok you guys got me. Shot me in the Heart. Your not totally wrong in your definition of Agnosticism but there is more to it than what you say:

agnostic / Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[ag-nos-tik] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun 1. a person who holds that the existence of the ultimate cause, as God, and the essential nature of things are unknown and unknowable, or that human knowledge is limited to experience.
2. a person who denies or doubts the possibility of ultimate knowledge in some area of study.
–adjective 3. of or pertaining to agnostics or agnosticism.
4. asserting the uncertainty of all claims to knowledge.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Origin: <, var. of ágnōtos not known, incapable of being known ( known, adj. deriv. from base of gignskein to know) + -ic, after gnostic; said to have been coined by T.H. Huxley in 1869]

—Related forms
agnostically, adverb

—Synonyms 1. See atheist.

American Heritage Dictionary - Cite This Source ag•nos•tic (āg-nŏs'tĭk) Pronunciation Key
n.

One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God.
One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.
One who is doubtful or noncommittal about something.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
atheism / Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[ey-thee-iz-uhm] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun 1. the doctrine or belief that there is no God.
2. disbelief in the existence of a supreme being or beings.

With Agnostics is the possibility that a God may exist and maybe found. I am one such Agnostic: All Knowledge Is Knowable given time and study. Whether God exists is up for grabs. Atheism is as it states above.

Atheist searches for truth, thats why people go atheistic.Atheistic people search for truth, and beleive that it can be found. The philosophy of Atheism is very similar to Agnosticism. It's a very interesting discovery my friend made a few days ago as he researched the topic more.
Nope. It would be contradictory for an Agnostic to say they know there will never be any answers. I think that position is better described as Ignosticism. Agnosticism is the position that asks both Theists and Atheists to prove themselves. It is the absence of belief position, that advocates of the "weak" Atheist definition are trying to take for themselves.

However, there is no such word as A-theism. The word is Athe-ism = A no Gods belief. Real Atheists already believe they know what's true. "Weak" Atheists seem to be Agnostics, using the wrong definition of Atheism. Although, most "weak" Atheist advocates, that I've seen, are actually "strong" Atheists, trying to shift the burden of proof solely on the Theists.

Atheism: the belief that God does not exist (Compact Oxford English Dictionary)

Atheist: someone who believes that God does not exist (Cambridge Dictionary of American English)
Atheism: the belief that God does not exist (Cambridge Dictionary of American English)

Atheist: one who believes that there is no God or gods (The Wordsmyth English Dictionary-Thesaurus)
Atheism: the belief that there is no God (The Wordsmyth English Dictionary-Thesaurus)

Atheist: one who believes that there is no deity (Merriam-Webster's Collegiate® Dictionary, Eleventh Edition)
Atheism: a : a disbelief in the existence of deity b : the doctrine that there is no deity (Merriam-Webster's Collegiate® Dictionary, Eleventh Edition)
Disbelief: mental rejection of something as untrue (Merriam-Webster's Collegiate® Dictionary, Eleventh Edition)

Peace
