| I hope all goes well there in Europe with the anti-American sentiment. Avoid dark alleys and shortcuts even by a guide unless you know them personally. Other than that Europe looks like FUN!

| "heh" ... that's what the Canadians say ... no way in hell I'm saying I'm from America ... not ashamed of it, just don't want a bullseye on my forehead lol. I have a Canadian shirt to wear!! Big red maple leaf! Everyone loves Canadians so that's where I'm saying I'm from!
Don't worry about me and a dark alley.... if I'm lucky (and they are not) I'll be PMSing about the time they try and rob or worse to me. That's the advantage I have .... people underestimate me because of my size ... big mistake. Not bragging mind you, just stating fact. Plus I have an abundance of common sense (and obviously cockiness)!! We will be traveling with others and every day is planned out ... I'll need days to recover afterward. One suitcase for 3 weeks??? They must be nuts!
Just to rub it in a little .... arrive in London, St Paul's cathedral, Castles, Hampton court and all the other touristy things .. Bath, Stonehenge, Salisbury (not Salisbury steak .. no BSE for me ... bovine spongiaform or better known as mad cow) then the chunnel to France usual Paris stuff, Versailles, evening dinner on a boat along the Seine, the Louvre, can't re: all the other stuff in France then we take the TGV (world's fastest train) to Lausanne, Switzerland, then to Berne on to Lucerne and Mt. Pilates (ever hear of the Lions of Lucerne?) then to Florence, Italy ..... seeing "Accademia" not sure what that is but I'm betting it's a Museum .... onto Pisa .... then Assissi .... onto Rome ... Colosseum, Trevi Fountain .... Vatican .. St Peter's Basilica .... and that's just the stuff I remember!! It is organized bu Alex's Latin teacher (who also has a degree in Archeology and Greek, along with his wife who is also a Professor). I am rooming with another Mom who is an attorney so luckily I'm not stuck with any of the "Botox Barbie Mom's" ... I loath them and avoid them at all costs.
Just got 4GB of memory for my camera so I'll have capability for 1,600 to 1,800 pictures. Other than not enough suitcase room I'm ready to leave!!! My Italian still is weak, my french is even weaker but I have something that is spoken internationally .... American Express and Visa! After sightseeing all day I'll try and see a little of the night life but bar hopping is bar hopping no matter where you go. I do plan on drinking my share of wine while over there. I plan on letting Alex drink wine if he wants ... he won't like it ... he likes all those fruity, slushy drinks so wine is not his forte.
Okay I've rubbed it in enough .... but seriously if anyone has a suggestion of a "must see" place over there ... by all means let me know. I'm going to stop by sister X's house and kiss her babies and verbally harass her (just kidding!) ...

Deb, if you turn your underwear inside out, you can get two days out of them. Enjoy your trip.
Oh yea, Memorial day I grilled steaks, drank some beers, ate a lot and enjoyed the nice weather.

| It wasn't that bad, I just like to bitch lol. The only bad part was being stuck inside on a really nice day. I got paid to play pokemon for eight hours, so I wasn't complaining.

| it's a left brain, right brain kind of thing ... males tend to think out of one side of their brain and females another ... Og-ster would know the details ... he's the resident brain guru. Which is it Og, I can't remember ... I'm sure I could google it but Og is so handy with the finite details ... plus I trust the validity of him more than a google search ..... I'll stop praising him lest his head get too biggeth for the dooreth!!
Hey I'm packing .... have just a little room left in the suitcase ... Jaej I could probably fold and squeeze you skinny self in there and you could get your own "french maid" to bring home ... big problem ... I couldn't bring you both back ...Oh well ...

| Just for fun I want to answer the left brain/right brain thing before I see Og's explaination. Feel free to straighten me out if you want Og.
Ahem... To my understanding the feemale brain utilizes both halves of the brain to process information and form reactions - men tend to rely more heavily on one half of the brain at a time. That is why the neural pathway (no, I don't remember what it's called) between the two halves of the brain is much larger in women than men.

| sounds reasonable to me ...it's been a while since I've studied any neurology and this is Og's field of expertise ... certainly not mine. There have been so many advancements in medicine you have to keep updated almost daily!
