Default favorite zombie flick

hey all, new to the forums just thought I'd throw this question out there.
Thie is a very difficult question for me because I love allzombie movies! But it would be one of the Romero masterpieces! Cant wait for the new one, Diary of the Dead!

thats a good one but i never really classified that one as a zombie movie, but you know what they say, its in the eye of the beholder.

I just like the newer virus based ones like dawn of the dead and 28 days later.

My #1 is Shaun of the Dead. Absolutely no contest.

My #2 is probably Night of the Living Dead. I probably should tie it at #1... Yeah.. it's tied at #1

My #3 slot is a tie between 28 Days Later and the original Dawn of the Dead

I did enjoy parts of the new Dawn of the Dead. The first ten minutes were excellent.

Homecoming, the movie Joe Dante -- I think it was him -- did for the "Masters of Horror" series is very enjoyable.

Zombie flicks are definitely my favorite horror films. I have to say hands down the Romero original "Night of the Living Dead" is #1 in my book. That movie scared the hell out of me so bad the first time I saw it, I slept with a ball bat for a couple of weeks.

all very great movies. I agree with armel p in that Homecoming is a great one. I just love the mix of zombie movie and political movies, very nice! (to quote Borat)

Can't pick just one. My top three would be:

1 - Night of the living dead
2 - Re-Animator
3 - Undead

It seems Doom would be classified as a zombie movie (not a favorite btw). I like zombie movies, but it just seemed like a rip off others. The game was way beyond the virus-to-zombie flicks. What do you think?
