| This is Weird! I don't care if you believe me or not. I am married to Charlize Theron. When I woke up it was the first time in my life I felt suicidal. KIDDING!
My Manager and I carpool to save on my gas bill and she needs company. I don't know, I don't need people's company myself. So she and I were driving home the other night and we took this dark back road as a short cut. Here was this object not about a low flying helicopters distance from the ground. It had blue, red, and a white lights with the smaller more pinpoint white light blinking. So she looks up, she and I have talked about this kind of thing before, says " Is that a UFO? " and I say " No thats a helicopter. " There was no sound and I figured it was the car, as new as it was, muffling the sound of the device. I don't know. So she drops me off on the corner like I want her to and I walk my way across the highway overpass and head to my nice suburban home. I naturally was curious as to the position of the aircraft so close to the highway yet far away. It neither moved since we passed under and away from it. I was walking and from there I should have been able to hear a police helicopter. It could only really been a secret government high-tech vehicle or a balloon. I kept looking at it and it didn't disappear. I made sure I wouldn't walk off the road by looking back to the sidewalk and then when I crossed the highway POOF! it vanished. The balloon might have exploded or it was deflated and fell suddenly. Who knows. All I know was something that just sat there just vanished. UFO? I challenge someone to explain the possibilities of what this vehicle was but I don't have a clue at this moment. I can only think it was an alien object (either beyond my possible knowledge or something I just don't know) of course. It made me think of life beyond this world, rather intelligent or not. I saw it Tuesday this week.
I don't believe in magick, ghosts, a religious God, a God or not a God that is the question, etc. I studied Physics, Mathematics, Philosophy, etc. I am open and objective to a lot of scenarios but unless that was a balloon or other silent hovering device by some oblong hick around here I looked and was perplexed. It was there and then within a moment it was gone. I do write Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror so tell me what you think... or don't and let thisthread disappear.

| Long ago while sitting on the porch, I was excited to spot a UFO. It appeared to be hovering and then slowly rise. The whole process took about 20 minutes. Much to my dismay, it turned out to be an aircraft flying straight at me.
Perhaps yours was a similar situation. It may have vanished suddenly behind clouds.
Just offering a posible answer. I don't have a clear uderstanding of your proximity to the object. |

I don't know where you live but if you have ever seen a helicopter hovering just above you on a freeway or in a city. I'll put it to you this way if it had been daylight and in a more brightly lit area anywhere but where it was (pitch night other than our headlights and it's lights as I described) I could have described it in detail easily but like I said she didn't stop.
Nope I appreciate what your saying and it's what I am asking for cause I don't have a clue what it could possibly be.

| It was right over you? In that case I havn't got any explianation.
The wierdest thing I ever saw in the night sky was a shooting star get about halfway down, pull a U turn and head back into space. Never could fugure that one out.
Oh well can't explain it. It has to be aliens from another world, right? Hark, hark, harr. |

| Shrugging here.
I'd rather find a plausible explanation but so far nothings come to me yet. I am hoping for testable new war technology but hey who knows. Where I am at present the Mafia used to dump bodies and I am convinced that the Government sent most of the biological mutants they created in their chemical and germ warfare experiments here to live out the rest of their lives. Why not test high tech stuff.

| The acronym "U.F.O" means "Unidentified Flying Object". That is percisely what you saw, to go beyond that is speculation and unreasonable without evidence.

| We all know the acronym. I think the whole point of this forum is spectulation. I respect where you're coming from mr. lister, but to require evidence, sometimes, is as bad as asking for blind faith. |

| It would be arrogant of us to believe we are the only ones with a sentient life form.

| There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the universe is teeming with hundreds, if not thousands, of habitable planets full of intelligent life. The problem is the distance between us makes discovery or contact next to impossible to obtain. |
