I don't think there is less need to reflect on the meaning of happiness. Maybe if we spent more time focusing on why we are happy we could be happy more often. If we spent less time focusing on how we are sad and more time focusing on why we are sad, we could fix it. I also don't think art is too censored. And I don't think it's too happy or too morbid. I don't think you can say anything about 'art'. Every artist does his own thing. So each artist is up for evaluation. And you can't generalize it.
