| Just a Question for you OG Do you have a game called tactical ops? You said something about you using OG as a tag for games, and in tactical ops there is a clan named OG. |

| Nah. The name is a shorten form of Ogdin which I made when I played Ultima Online back around 2000 when I was an undergrad. I role played an orc in that game and Ogdin was an orcish form of Odin which was my main character's name. It stuck and I started using it in most of the games I played.
Og's just a shortened form of the name that most people called me by in the games and such. It kind of just became my internet handle.
My real name is Gus. Yay for monosyllabic labels

| I just thought when you said you used it as a "tag" you meant like a clan tag. Something which is used to represent your clan. I'm sure you know what I am talking about.
I am a big fan of Dungeons and Dragons Online (and hardcover editon with pen and paper). I like games which require and are based off your imagination. Have you ever played D&D? |

| I've never really gotten into D&D at all. I have never really gotten into P&P role play at all. I've been Ogdin in Ultima Online, Star Wars Galaxies, and World of Warcraft. Done lots of great strategic, imaginative, and role play based stuff in all those games. I never really have been around people who would be interested in D&D.
I founded and help run the Stormreaver Orc Clan which is a community of people who roleplay orcs in a variety of games. They were started back in 2000 in ultima online and were very active up until about when I quit World of Warcraft back last summer.
It's a really cool way to keep in touch with friends who end up spread out around the globe. I'm not really into any MMOs at the moment. I'm more focused on completing my PhD at the moment. I graduate this may.

After bc (burning crusades) came out, one of them got to 70 in like 5 days. It was ridiculous. I'm glad I never played it. Blizzard's just squeezing money out of those poor kids...

| Dude.. I spent WAY to much ****ing time on that game. It is insanely awesome. So much skill and detail. I was a guild leader and raid leader of an organization that had over 100 people. The organization lasted for over a year.
I kicked so much ass in that game. My toon was well known for my skill as a player and strategy/leadership abilities on 40 man raids. I wrote code for user interface modifications that you can still see out there such as: Addons: AVbars2 | Curse
which is a continuation of an extremely popular mod that I made (it wasn't my only one). The mod is one of the most popular mods for the game interface and was translated into french, german, taiwanees, 2 chinese dialects, and korean.
I had a legendary weapon and all sorts of wicked loot after being the leader of this huge player organization.
Was totally nuts and all consuming. Great leadership and organization experience though. Using voice coms and efficiently running 40 players through strategic raid content on a regular basis was NOT easy. But it was quite cool. We had a hierarchical command structure and all sorts of great tools in place for group coordination.
But yeah. Decided I should probably complete my PhD

| Yeah. That would probly be good. And if it didn't look like a cartoon, I would probably be more apt to play it. Not that I'm a graphics whore; don't get me wrong. I just think it looks silly.

| They've actually put a LOT of psychological design into the construct of the characters. Games that try to look too realistic end up looking silly. The characters in WoW are basically characatures. Massive hands/feet, big shoulders, etc.. They psychologically link you to your toon. Very cool stuff to read about the research they've put into it.
