sounds like you were a late bloomer!!
Alex is awesome ... and not because he's mine. One of my sorority sisters got pregnant ... we just thought she was getting fat ... and I find out she's pregnant 4 weeks before Alex was due .... we hid it from everyone .... her room mate, her parents ... no one knew ... she had Alex on a Monday and was back to work on Wednesday, I was in for his delivery and took him home a day later ... single Mom in less than 6 weeks Surprise! ... until 8 months ago no one in her family or friends knew ... he's always known he's adopted ... the only reason anyone was recently told about the situation is that she suddendly passed away last year. I had always made sure he got to see his brothers (she had 2 other kids) and he would spend the night at her house a couple of times a year .. of course at that time he didn't know she was his biological Mom ... once he found out the truth ... I think he was thrilled to have been given up! She was my friend but smoked a couple of packs of cigs a day and was a total slob ... boarding on pig pen ... he loathed spending the night at her house but now he understands why I made him go there.
I adore him (and so do all the girls) ... he has my twisted sense of humor, sarcastic wit, big brown eyes, long dark eye lashes and a splattering of freckels .... you can tell I'm crazy about him! He just ask me to get him a book called "Shinto Norito a Book of Players" (I think that's what he wrote down) by Ann Llewllyn Evers ... I have no idea what it's about but hey, as long as it's books he ask for ... he's got it. I'll check out the Campbell book ... will it be over his head? He is into some fantasy books but not hard core sci-fi. I think he has a lot of questions re: what's "out there" but he's really into peaceful resolutions and peer mediation at school, he's been in this Model United Nations the last couple of years ... to brag just a little more .. he's only a sophmore and he is acting editor of the Yearbook, they have never had an editor who wasn't a Senior and next year they are going to break tradition and make it official. The school he attends was a one time Eli Lilly (the Drug Company ... Lilly's) summer home, it became a boy's prep school in the early 1900's and in the 70's finally admitted females. His largest class size in about 12 kids ... okay enuf about him .. I could gush more about him ... but .... BTW what is your Avatar? He says Sanskrit (sp) I said finger painting ..... OH and speaking of Star Wars ... the kid who played Anikin in Star Wars attended Alex's school ... he's a very strange kid now ... his sister is one of Alex's harem girls ... she was an extra in that episode.
The book he wants iss Shinto Norito a book of
Prayers .. not
Players .... Jezzz the kid already has the sloppy handwriting of an MD down pat!!! But with all his female friends maybe he needs a different version of the book ... I guess it could be a Prayer book for Players .... never heard or seen any Japanese "Players" but I'm sure they exsit!
