I did non-adult texting for about 6 months and I tried the adult but it felt too much like cheating so I could never really do it. I am going to check out the transcription route also since I do have experience with it, but from a very long time ago, not sure how far that will get me. My biggest obsticle is that I already work fulltime homeschooling three children and taking care of an infant son.

I would dearly love to get into some work-at-home work, specifically data entering or transcribing or just plain typing. Right now I'm registered with this freelance outfit to whom I'm paying $30 a month for leads, and I've applied for nearly 3 dozen jobs in the last few months with them but I've come up empty. You would think that people would be interested in a typing speed of 92 words per minute and excellent language skills and a ton of transcribing and typing/data entry experience, but apparently not. I'm not looking to get rich from this but I could use some extra dollars. I'm going to try some of these companies that have been mentioned here. If anyone can put my skills to good use, I'm here, but in the meantime, thanks for the information!

I was about to close my computer down for the day when I read your post. First rule in working from home -- DO NOT PAY FOR A JOB that goes for this scam you are paying into also. You are paying for old leads and the odds of you getting anywhere are nile.

I work from home as a medical transcriptionist. I love it, but it can be pretty stressful at times, getting used to different accents and different dictating styles. I don't have a set schedule, which I also like. I attended Career Step which took me 8 months to complete (it varies as it is a go at your own pace course) and I have been working from home ever since (about 1.5 years now).

I also work from home. My father has a call center and I take the calls that others can't handle lol . I's great, because I am learning web design and can do that besides taking the calls which don't come often anyway

I have always worked in the Hospitality Industry. And as you might guess, the pay leaves a little to be desired. So back in the 80's I started looking for ways to build my income, specifically my nest egg, from home. Over the years I have been in mail order and multi-level marketing.

In 1990, an acquaintance of mine told me about a nationally known company that would allow me to sell their products from home. They allow me to earn a residual each time I help someone else start their own business. It took me some time to "perfect" my business but now, today, I simply take orders through the mail. My customers then pick up their products every two weeks at my "pick-up party". Doing it this way, means that I don't have to deliver, or stock . I simply order my products AFTER the guest has already paid me for them. Then THEY come and pick up the products. The great thing about it is that I don't have to talk anyone into buying. These are the products that our grandmothers loved and are backed by a century old rock solid company. When they pick up their products, I give them a new catalog for the next two weeks. It works out well.

I have been trying to establish a work at home business since September, after I lost a work at home position with a financial company. It has been slow and some days I am truly discouraged but I keep telling myself it will get better.
