| Kay beat me to it lol.
I wonder if there are any other gamers on the forum. I am a massive nerd at heart and have been a gamer for a long time. I grew up with my parents' Intellivision and Atari, playing games like Shark Shark, Frogger, bump and Jump etc, then came nintendo and the mario Bros thing, but I don't think I would say I was a real gamer until I played Final Fantasy VII for the first time.
Naturally FFVII is one of my favorite games, tied with Suikoden II for the top spot. Games are a powerful medium for storytelling, but can also be used for some mindless entertainment when the occassion calls for it.
How 'bout you all, where the gamers at?

| i've never bought a guide
but they do have some cool tricks and tips and secrets in them sometimes, but so does the internet.
i don't play games as much as i used to. latly i've been playing Mount and Blade its pretty cool, i have like 48 people in my party and when you get in battles its like two groups of 50 + any more men as reinforcement going at it. then i'm a vassel as well. also lately i've been having my infantry and archers hold a postion and then sideswipeing or flanking the enemy with my calvery. its a sweet game.

| I don't play video games
My 13 year old brother does though, usually it's grand theft auto, which he'll let me play SOMETIMES, but i have to bribe him first. He basically spends all day playing video games, but at least it keeps him too occupied to follow me around as much (which he does anyways).

| I like to beat a game without a guide first, to get the full experience. The guides tell you the entire story, any secrets that you are able to find, pretty much every litle detail.
