| I don't worry about clothes on the floor and stuff ,,,, I just close his door ... if his room is a mes ... it's his mess he can live in it ... when his friends make fun of him ... he cleans it ... I choose to pick my battles with teenagers ... it makes no sense to worry about the little stuff if they bring home great grades and don't sass ....
I just bought him a Play station 3 and Grand theft Auto today ..... I'll bet he cleans his room this weekend .... it never fails if I do something nice for/to him he comes around and does things my way .... I use the reward system instead of the punishment system ... positive reenforcement works around here

| sweet,
even more sweet,
i want the new grand theft auto, lucky kid.
i hate the M rateing, 15 or 16, but 17? thats a junior in highschool
when your a freshmen hopefully you realize its not real,
some video games are like playing cops and robbers, only more graphic and your the crook. playing army when i was young hasn't got me in trouble. i think people just look for anything to point the finger. congratulations on being one of the cool people.

| I watched him play it tonight and was laughing my butt off at it!
There is violence but no more than a slasher movie which is far more gross ... his "guy" always got killed by the police ... so moral of the story ... if you mug people or steal their cars ... the police will shoot you in the back ... it wasn't as if he thought it would be cool to do it ... he kept crashing every car he'd steal and when ever he tried to mug someone they would kick his butt half the time oh and his car would blow up from crashing into stuff ...
bad thing about it is now he's hijacked my new 46" plasma screen TV ... good thing about the PS3 is that it has a blue ray DVD player in it .... if I ever get the TV back I might be able to watch a movie

| he'll be stealing tanks when he gets used to it. in vice city i used to snipe the drivers through the little slit they have as a window and steal the tank and run around with 5 stars blowing everything up just for kicks. it was great.

| he doesn't quite have the hang of it yet .... getting weapons has proved the most challenging to obtain ... that and not flipping the cars over ... if you impact someone too hard the guy goes flying thru the windshield .... he went out with his buddies and came home 2 hours early to play it ... lol ... I see who ranks higher right now .. chicks or PS3 .... PS3 won ... he's so easily distracted at 17 None of his buddies have it and I only got him one controller .... want to bet how long it takes for someone to come up with another one?
I'll bet I'll have boys hanging out here all weekend eating pizza and playing games ... better here than running around and having me worry. My philosophy is to have plenty of movies, video games and food around here ... never fails that they are here it's been that way since he was really little I was always the cool mom handing out Popsicles now it's pizza ....

I have yet to play a GTA all the way through, I always get sidetracked with the mass mayhem. There's nothing like getting a hooker, paying her, then killing her and getting your money back lol!
Typically no matter how it ended, dozens of cops, a fiery crash, or several gunshot wounds, it could all be traced back to a punch. Walking down the road on a mission, see a random person and the impulse to punch them in the head overwhelms, hijinks ensue.
. . .Thanks now I'm all jonesing for a PS3 :P
