Default economical thinking

i think i figured out why im not happy with how the current economical system is set up. its becuse i don't own my own means of production, its becuse i am someone elses means of production. Also if i did manage to create my own money generating system chances are it'll start off slow, maby even never be profitable. i guess im learning some skills at my current job, like how to fold boxs fast, cut pizzas and strech dough and talk to people on the phone.

i think my discontent is becuse i think of the system as making me a replaceable part in a machine, the one im a gear in currently is called dominos. it's true someone off the street might take a couple months to get good at somethings possibly. i just wished i made my own money instead of help get someone elses their's, for a amount that turns an hour of my time to a value of 6.50. cheap plastic toys cost more then two hours of my time. its frustrating, then it seems you have to have money to make money, money that bills and other costs take away. technology seems like a possible answer, if we made basic tools and neccesity production cheap, would we be able to distribute them on a free basis? allow people to work for creation instead of working to live, paycheck to paycheck. would it allow people to live for the enjoyment of living, i still need to figure out details but does it sound reasonable. i don't think dictatorship or making people have equal monetary value in their pockets going to do it. maby making machines slaves to boring tasks that doesn't neccassaly do much for a person or sociaty other then provide a fast pizza or teach them how to strech a dough out. any ways what you guys think?

I think you are getting a wake up call to what life has to offer .... unless you want to make pizza and fold boxes the rest of your life, and making money for someone else, you need to get an education, learn a trade or profession .... welcome to my world is the best I can tell you.

You aren't happy with your current life because you're young, make next to nothing money wise, own very little property and don't have enough years of experience to know the answers. Every adult has said .... damn I wish I knew then what I know now .... doesn't help after the fact but it is a fact of life ...

No matter if you make pizza the rest of your life or take over Microsoft from Bill Gates, you must learn to do what ever you do with dignity. There is no shame in most tasks the shame is doing your task shamefully ...

Probably not the answers you wanted to hear but it's the best I have to offer .... this current job you have is a learning experience ... learn from it, move on and move up and the next job will be 7 bucks the next 8 and so on and so forth ... just continue upward mobility ....

I think you are already learning that unless you have an eduction in today's job market ... you aren't going to end up a millionaire and winning lottery tickets don't drop out of the sky .... keep seeking answers and hopefully some day you will find the answers that fit your needs .... Best wishes, Deb

taking over microsoft sounds good

i waited for awhile to get a job, its becuse i didn't like the idea of a job. however you have to get money somehow it seems. getting a job sounds like a good idea when i'm young that way i can get the things i want so i can do the things i want. like a computer, macromedia, midi programs, musical stuff, books on programming and other intrests, novel books ext oh and i love camping/outdoorsy stuff. sadly everything takes money, money i don't have.

yes sadly one cannot have the toys that we want without working ... unless we are trust fund babies ....

why, may I ask did you/do you not "like the idea of getting a job"?

BTW ... I don't think Bill Gates will be giving you the keys to Microsoft headquarters any time soon .... hehehehehe

it converts my time and actions to an abstract value that i feel isn't representative of the value of me, it seems to turn me to an object for another objects control. my value is controlled by supply and demand and what not, i am no different then a commodity, and daily i sell myself, hopefully one day i'll be doing something more enjoyable, also my toys i wish for are things that should improve upon my condition of life and skills/abilitys. i think part of it is becuse a job isn't in accordance with my will, that my knees are forced to bend into a package of work ethnic and work appearance with a smile and a yes madam and a time frame. i'm not my own boss, thats it. i really want to start my own busness, hopefully i'll do that soon, and i got to go to work, argh more later perhaps.

Hi Shadow .. I suspect the most important value we bestow on people, is the value we bestow on ourselves.
Hopefully we set the value high, and do our our best to live up to it.
