I'd like to discuss something off the topic, hope it's okay..

I went to a local Mid-Eastern store last week. They carry the best
Persian Figs (Shirazi figs) & Raisins. The store owner is very friendly, he suggested me to check out their meat department, which carrys Halal meats,
"Once you have the Halal meats, you will never wanna buy meats
in the Safeway; Halal meats is the cleanest meats, the blessed meat.."

So I bought some ground beef. To be honest, I can't tell the
difference after I tried it. Can someone tell me if the meats in the normal supermarket are kosher meats or not? Does Halal meats really taste that good?

Maybe I am just too numb to tell ..

My dad's Persian, and there was a time when we only ate the halal meat in our house. But I can't really tell the difference either. I think my parents felt the same way and switched back to the less-expensive meat.

I think it has to do more with the amount of fat which determines how good the meat tastes. Less fat tastes better, at least thats what I think.
