Hmmm... where would I like to spend 72 hours? Earlier I said the Colt factory. I'd like to change my answer and go back in time to the days when our United States Constitution was written, and spend my 72 hours with the Founding Fathers who wrote that wonderful and precious document.
They left a land that oppressed them and their freedoms and came to America, a land where they could speak and worship (or NOT worship) as they saw fit, away from the oppression of King George and the government of England. It's interesting that they included early on, in the First Amendment, the right to free speech. Today, we as a society seem to have put that freedom on the back burner and now suppress free speech for fear of offending someone. We silence those whose thoughts and words are different from the party line-- regardless of how wrong and ill-informed that line may be.
I hate to break the news... there is NOTHING in the Constitution that guarantees a person's right NOT to be offended.
I would love to go back to the time and place where we valued the freedom of speech and of the press, and fought for it.
