Default Strange Weather

I live in Ottawa, Canada. It's October and we've still been experiencing summer-like temperatures; even at night. Last year we didn't receive a significant amount of snow till mid-January. That's highly unusual for us. Does anyone else find the strange weather patterns, that are happening all over the globe, a little freaky?

After living in Winnipeg for the past thirty years, I thought I had seen it all. -42C in the winter, +40 in the summer. Snow in June and in August, albeit just a few quick-melting flakes. One summer where it rained virtually every day.

But it is getting weirder, if such a thing is possible. Last week we had some absolutely gorgeous days in the mid- to high-20's... Perfect T-shirt weather. Tonight the low will be just a couple of degrees above 0C.

And this year I saw mammatus clouds for the first time in my life. We had a twister touch down in the northwest corner of the city that night, and about a month later a F5-strength tornado hit a nearby town.
