She had no sense of humor I guess.

i think thats sorta the point tho... no matter what you believe, you hafta have faith in it. scientist hafta have faith in their theories (at least a little) and we hafta have faith in each other and so on and so forth

Yeah.. My faith means trusting that observation and reason will get to truth and that the search doesn't make any sense otherwise.
Faith for me, has nothing to do with accepting something without evidence. And this isn't a definition of the term that is unique to me.

I dont like the fact that she stormed off. Im an athiest, but respect that there are many people who have strong beliefs about god, etc, and I will happily talk to people about it in a controlled, respectful discussion. What I dont like is people who refuse to respect anyone else who doesnt share their believe's, it makes me extremly irate! | |
