Another problem is that even an ark that size would not fit all the species on the Earth at that time. Also, why didn't the animals eat one another?
It's just mythology.

That tends to prove the fallibility of the Christian bible. Not that it is all wrong - just that some passages fail to stand the test of modern science. All rebuttal of modern science is simply gainsaid with "until your proof is so overwhelming that fundamentalists are convinced, your proof is insufficient to convince fundamentalists".
Further, it does not address in any way whether ALL the other religions have got it equally wrong. Especially those that do not have a Great Flood narrative as part of their core beliefs.
So - I like examining the minutia of the Great Flood and the practicalities of it happening. It makes the fundamentalists squirm and say very silly things to justify an unjustifiable tenet of their stated view of The Truth.

You misunderstand me ... I know atheists who have mental states and they are fully functional too.
It's just that they don't rely on all powerful beings guiding them through their daily activities.

Can you name a single animal or creature where you can say there is a logical reason for god creating them in a particular way?

They are few and far between though.
