Then it's ironic that evolution has been outlawed in public schools, by the Christian majority at that. They've outlawed this, yet still have Jesus in the history books. This makes me really question the curriculum & how biased it actually is.
You'd think the more rational Christians would've fought hard to keep this idea in the classroom. I guess this means the amount of irrational Christians far outnumbers the amount of rational ones.
Not only that, but I'm sure the abiogenesis theory will never see the light of day in a public classroom. Despite the fact that we're getting closer & closer to unlocking this mystery. But what, oh it must be god, right Christians? Of course all they have to say is "Well, god was behind that process, he set the conditions that were necessary, etc."
Along with the big bang. It's amazing how they'll use the transitive property to credit their god with every causation that unfolded the universe. No research or evidence required here, just say that "god did it". When string theory is proven, god will be their answer for that as well.
We live in a society where religion isn't supposed to affect politics, but that idea has clearly been thrown out the window. This is why I think Christianity either needs to be abolished or changed into a new system of beliefs. Sooooooo many creationists will argue tooth-'n-nail to support the literal meaning of that Genesis verse. Unless that verse is either omitted or changed, this whole debate will never stop & our government will continue to poison the minds of the youth.
