| Would you be angry if Bush were assassinated? I'm the last person you could accuse of being a fan of our current administration.
But as I watched Air Force 1 (the president's plane) arrive in Germany for the G8 summit and I watched the protesters already there to greet him, I couldn't help but think I'd be extremely angry if someone there tried to or even succeded in assassinating him.
I know some of you here feel that he has caused the death of so many people not to mention the life altering injuries such as amputations and paralysis. And for the most part he's going to flat out get away with it.
Your thoughts?

| It's all about National Pride, I'd be pretty pissed if Putin got assasinated or if Stephen Harper got shot, but the question here is if I'd be angry if Bush was assasinated, my answer is no, I wouldn't care at all EXCEPT for the fact that Dick would succeed him, and something about that guy's grotesque VP photo doesn't sit well with me. |

| P.S. as a special side treat for everyone who decides to posts in this thread.
I'd like to inform you that due to the words "bush, president" and assassinated" being all here on this one page, the FBI computers that scan the net for threats and people to add to their watchlist has already visited this page and the FBI is probably already looking through your trash right now

| Lol. A few years ago my grandma bought me Mein Kampf with her credit card, so I'm sure her name is on several lists.

I bet they been here before that but thats just me. Agnostics are moral Wild Cards to them just like moderates are political Wild Cards.
If Bush were assassinated I would be disappointed because it's a crappy thing to do but I wouldn't be overly upset. Enough people have officially died under his Administration that I could see a justifiably bitter and angry person would do vote for his impeachment with a bullet.
Comedy Central has a cartoon called Little Bush which I am sure won't be flattering at all.

| As per Hindu teachings, if a war is between the right and the wrong then it should be fought. I will be unhappy if Prez Bush got assassinated... I sure appreciate the mans guts! |

| Even though I am not a fan of Bush, it would be unfortunate if he was assisinated. He may not do things that a lot of people agree with, but he is doing what he believes is right. He is provided a lot of information about threats that average Joe civilian does not know about. He is not swayed by public polls, you have got to admire that. Plus he only has about a year and a half left in office. Just let him finish his time in peace.

Assasination's are rarely a good thing, World War I was started by a single assassination. Think of the political ammo that would give the republican right wing. |

| I remember having this discussion back in my student days about Margaret Thatcher and frankly as far as she was concerned I would have kissed the feet of anyone who succeeded with gratitude and delight. Indeed it was Morrissey who recorded a song called "Margaret on the guillotine," and it was a great track, I recommend it to everyone.
As far as Georgie is concerned I would question why the assassin decided to wait six and a half years before doing the deed but outside the US and, apparently, Albania, few would mourn.
I suppose the wider question is should we wish people dead? There are plenty of people out there I wish hadn't been born - Ahmadinejad, Saddam, Netanyahu, Natasha Beddingfield, Phil Collins, a kid I was at school with called Alex etc. But having been born would we condone their murder? |
