| Sure, Americans are huge financiers. Focused on business, obsessed with money. We're corrupt. Fact. But is it so bad? Is it not the lesser of two evils? We have one of the highest standards of living, and quite frankly, I'd rather have that than no McDonald's. Just don't go. Plain and simple.

| What is the greatest of evils lauraclay? A fictionalized depiction of free will? Dependance on show and flash as a way to make the bottom dollar. To make economic slaves rather than political slaves? Sure the condition of life is better but are really able to think? If you think you can take a look at the present representative in office and see how he is volunteering to kill your generation just to save his fathers business... inevitably his business. Do you think he cares about your life or your inevitable childs life? You tell me what is worthy and what is not.

So I can't really choose what I want to do in America? Riight. Dependence on show and flash to make the bottom dollar? That's just human nature. And that is a shallow assumption. Say someone makes an amazing car. It looks soo cool. Everyone wants one. Then we find out it sucks. It overheats every 30 miles and the gas tank leaks. (Can't you tell I'm an up and coming mechanic?) Do you think it's going to keep seling? No. Show and flash are not the only standards in America. Who's more of an economic slave, the communist or the capitalist? Do you have a better, alternative solution to our economy? We can choose to do whatever we want, as long as we don't harm society. Sure, we pay taxes, but they help us. And sure, corporations make big profits, but do we not do our very best to regulate them? You can't blame people for succeeding. I don't think Bush is volunteering to kill us just to save his father's business. That may play a role, but it is not the only reason. And yes, I think he does care about my life and my child's life. I am not pro-Bush, but I am not a crazy ranting liberal either. Just because I don't agree with the Bush administration's every move does not mean that he's not letting me think. You are the equivalent of the hxc GOP. How can you be agnostic religiously but an extremist politically? And if Bush is so stupid, how is he pulling off this great conspiracy?
