saw/heard something interesting on tonight's news ... some congressman was blasting Bush about him saying he will veto what ever proposal this guy was behind .... he said "Bush is President of the United States, not the King of the United States" .... getting quite ugly with Democrats having the majority ... seems like they are spinning their wheels instead of getting things done. Appears to me that they are more interested in putting Bush "in his place" or knocking him down a peg, is how one guy put it, I wish they'd put this much effort into working together to get things done rather than seeing who is the "big dog" ... as long as the Democrats keep throwing down threats to Bush the more the "Texan" in him comes out. He's in to far to back out now. Just my opinion ...

Yeah I agree. There are a lot of things that shouldn't have been done, but they were. No one can take them back. Now, it's the Bush administration's job to fix them. Like you said, he's in too far to back out. We're in for the long haul. But it's Bush's problem. He can't leave it for Barack (who is going to win ).

He might win but he'd better have the best secret service men available ... cause their are still a bunch of rednecks out there who will absolutely refuse to accept his ethnicity ... one of those Aryans will try and assassinate him is what I think.

Do you think McCain is going to be the running? .... as long as we don't get the Ice Queen (Hillary)

Bush is the lame duck he doesn't have to have it all straightened out ... the next president will have to clean up the mess. Bush has already made his mark on history and I don't think the historical analysts will have many positive things to say about his years in the presidency.

Seriously. I don't know. I will actually be able to vote in the next election, even though I probably won't. McCain stuck his foot in his mouth with Iraq, and now he will have to deal with the consequences.

Despite what I said before, I think it will come down to Guliani vs. Clinton. I think the black voters will be like 'We're not going to waste our vote on Obama because he won't win anyway' and I think they will vote for Hillary. And there are more women anyway. Not to stereotype, but I'm going to assume most women would vote for Hillary. At least dem women will I think. Idk. We will see.

Actually I don't think that many women are for Hillary ... she had a bad reputation for being a witch while first lady. As for Guliani ... did you see the interview he did with his wife?? I wasn't impressed. I personally don't think he has a chance. He is hanging onto this how well he did post 9/11 but there was such an out pouring of response that he takes more credit than what I think is his due .... many, many people responded and responded quickly for him to act like he was a savior. McCain isn't necessarily the best choice but other than Barack, I'm not impressed. Actually Bill Clinton wasn't a horrible president ... a whore dog yes ... but not a bad pres.

I been around the world a couple times now and unfortunately it is all our problems. Thats what a lot of people don't understand as we are hijacked, kidnapped, and killed in various extremism whether it be social (religious), economic, or just because (lame I know but when you face it your just like wha?) Facing the enemy which Bush clearly stated was the whole world other than the United States. Notice I did not state the people that "support" us. The Administration was isolationist from inception. So now this little boy, this little Administration got thrust into something they could never plan on (supposedly) Bush is afraid but his compatriots are not. They are the people who know how the world works. DICK Cheney definately knows being the CEO of Halliburton. There are more contractors in Iraq at the moment than soldiers. 100k contrators compared to 40k soldiers. I apologise if that isn't realistic because I am tired of counting soldier bodies and the crippled count is amazing and horrible within itself.

As for who is going to win the election... it's still a WASP society with men in charge. There you go!

it is pretty crazy to think about all the people that we don't hear about that come home without a arm/fingers/legs their lives have been changed forever for a cause that hopefully they will not regret..

i really feel sorry that this war "had" to happen.. the people in iraq barely knew what was happening.. we have such a higher amount of technology than they do that it isn't even a fair fight anymore.. its we bomb whatever targets we want and if we miss and hit a resident city block its just a casuality of war.. if you ever seen the show future weapons on discovery it makes me sick everytime i watch it.. to find more efficient ways to kill and sometimes were not even put in danger anymore we send f***ing robots... fair fight?????

Poonu, exactly who do you feel sorry for when you say we fight with superior technology? You think that since we are more sophisticated than our enemies, we should downgrade our tactics and weapons?

I don't agree with this. Survival of the fittest. We develop robots and things to save lives. Who said the fight has to be fair?

War is not fair .... there are always innocent people who end up in the crossfire .... all of history shows this. War should be a last resort but that doesn't mean that I disagree or agree with the present war. We went in with good intentions, things didn't go according to plan .... if we had finished this during the gulf war we wouldn't be back there again. I rather the whole war be fought on a video game or by robots and no lose of life but that's not realistic. Do you think strapping a bomb to a person and setting it off at a school bus stop is fair

If the US is such a suck country why do so many people want to immigrate here? Until we have a government that works together this war is going to drag on. Pelosi is a big mouthed pain in the ass .... at times her rhetoric borders on ..... was going to say traitorous but instead I'll call her undermining and unpatriotic! JUST MY OPINION SO NO DEMOCRATS NEED TO REPLY AND BITE MY HEAD OFF.
