I am very surprised at the swiftness with which they carried out this verdict. It is an amazing thing when you consider our legal process here in the states.

I hate all the coverage on this. I know he is an evil man, but doesn't it make us deplorable to be so interested? An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

Well he is responsible for killing quite a lot of people so this isn't exactly an eye for an eye.

I do tend to disagree with the whole eye for an eye thing till I consider how I'd feel if it were my loved ones brutally murdered....

Beats me why they had to hang the poor old duffer, he could just have been jailed for life..

I'm sorry, but I think taking another life is wrong. Hussein had no right to kill thousands of people, but that does not give us any right to kill him.

I was watching the televised covereage of the hanging and it made me want to throw up. Really, we're not better than he is.

That would cost millions, I see no logic in this.

It's one of the only things I kinda believe from the ol' Testament, but 'An eye for an eye' it's a good system.

It gives us every right as to what us humans perceive as justice, but then again perhaps we could have just like... tortured him for the rest of his life by ordering pizzas to his house and ringing, then hanging up, that might have also been justice.
