I am disgusted by the death penalty. It has been proven as ineffective, inhumane, barbaric and pointless by all the statistics and debates. The only thing the death penalty achieves is petty revenge, which should always rank below justice, effectiveness and humanity.

Amazing how you'll find religious people that find a way to justify the death penalty isn't it?

If they truly believed in whatever God they worship they'd also believe it is not our place as humans to decide the fate of another human. If you want revenge then you want revenge, but don't try and make it government sanctioned revenge just to make you feel better..

Afterall they're humans too and don't have any more right to kill someone than you do.

I am an agnostic for the death penalty. Those that choose to play outside the game of life i.e. killing another human being, should be put out of their own misery as well as mine. Waves to Saddam, I could wave at a lot of others as well in the so-called civilised world.
