I dont mind you bringing up religion, we talk religion here all the time. Heck, I dont even mind you telling me that Im going to hell for my beliefs, just dont call people stupid or any other insulting names. Just because your on the internet doesnt mean you have a license for behaving badly. A word of advice. When chatting on internet forums, behave the same way as you would with some acquaintance at the dinner table or a picnic.

I cannot and will not do this. Ever. Even if I knew with 100% certainty that the god of the Bible actually existed, I could not bring myself to worship such a disgustingly violent and egotistical entity. Furthermore, accepting a substitutionary blood sacrifice to appease an angry deity is, in my eyes, the height of cowardice and dishonour.

That was quick, thanks for the laugh. Actually I haven't met very many people that are 'going to heaven' that I like so heaven would be a sort of hell for me.

Sorry Buzz, but you aren't talking about a Tiny population figure here. 1/7th of the worlds population is now agnostic/athiest.

Buzz, the bible was never written down, so that you would read it as you read a novel. In other words, it does not mean what you first think in your head as you read through it.

The bible was written by another culture, in a different point in time. You have to understand the jewish culture and know their writing techniques before you can even begin to understand the bible.

As much as I am glad there was a reformation in the church 600years ago, it has also done a lot of damage, especially when people who did not understand the religion began preaching it as you are doing now. You are not well versed or well educated in Christian Theology. You have had it sold to you.

The early christian philosophers openly admited, that they can never know the nature of God, they can only know what God is not. This is conviction Agnostisicm and it took a lot of time, effort and work. Christianity was never originally about "asking" Jesus to save you and that's all you need to do. That is what it's become, for the Sunday Christians.

You claim to be happy with your faith, but I suspect this is not the case. You are very angry, aggressive and take a perverse pleasure in telling people they will go to Hell.

Your religion, is certainty..not christianity.
