Default education-industry-complex?

what do you guys think of supporting a type of education-industry-complex. where education supports industry and in return industry supports education. theres a few problems here or there such as if a subject is deemed not capable of producing a profitable product it might not be funded. theres also potential here to, in that if an increased cash flow in education and an increase knowledge level/knowledgable people in industry will boost both. perhaps improving the economy? and perhaps better the quality of life in a country. in some ways its probally already happening, but what if it happened more and at earlyer stages of education? also how and should a goverment support such a thing, also is there any other problems or benifits to such a system?

Are we not there already?
Industry (small businesses, and honest entrepeneurs) pay taxes and salaries.
We pay taxes; the taxes go towards providing education?

OK .... we could have today's class (school) b(r)ought directly to you by Coca Cola etc. Ideally we would want an independent trustee as buffer to provide direction, content and standards.

hmm ..... sounds like a good role for the church to me ......

i think a secular goverment as a buffer/coordernator is neccassary, education would need to be kept the bottom line, not the "bottom line" itself. en its a thought. we're already there in some ways by taxes and such. just wondering if theres other ways, and if they are "good" ways.
