some thoughts Basically just some arguments for agnosticism..
Recently I read something by Richard Dawkins (that he took from someone else before him) that went something like: Everyone is atheist. You're atheist towards every god which you don't worship. I take it one step further and deny the Christian god, as well. Once you understand why you deny all those other gods you'll truly understand atheism.

Naturalism is clearly the most logical way of viewing the world, as opposed to creationism. Humans are in so many ways alike to every other creature on Earth. We have a lifespan of which we are all victims of 100% of the time. Every human, like every other animal, is conceived and will grow and change as time continues. We all require food and shelter to survive. Humans are no exception to the rules of nature. Surely if we were "children of God," the rules would be more bendable, or I would at least be aware of this gift. Children of God would surely be protected by their father when dire circumstance arrives, such as being attacked by a mountain lion while hiking. You're going to die according to the lion's actions just like any other animal would die, and you're probably going to suffer just as much. There is no such thing as divine intervention, clearly.
If the world was indeed created, it was created to operate on specific laws and then left to unfold as it may. There is no outside sympathy towards planetary happenings, only causes and effects within our structure.
This logic tells me that Christianity and many other religions are false because they claim a goodly diety. Unless the god's rules of morals are vastly different than our own, no goodly thing could let a person suffer when it has the power to intervene.
