| I'm glad we don't run our great thinkers out of town.

The Socratic Method is still used today unfortunately by lawyers but there you go: |
YES!
"Wherefore, O judges, be of good cheer about death, and know this of a truth - that no evil can happen to a good man, either in life or after death. He and his are not neglected by the gods; nor has my own approaching end happened by mere chance. But I see clearly that to die and be released was better for me; and therefore the oracle gave no sign. For which reason also, I am not angry with my accusers, or my condemners; they have done me no harm, although neither of them meant to do me any good; and for this I may gently blame them.
Still I have a favor to ask of them. When my sons are grown up, I would ask you, O my friends, to punish them; and I would have you trouble them, as I have troubled you, if they seem to care about riches, or anything, more than about virtue; or if they pretend to be something when they are really nothing - then rebuke them, as I have rebuked you, for not caring about that for which they ought to care and for thinking that they are something, when they are really nothing. And if you do this, I and my sons will have received justice at your hands.
The hour of departure has arrived, and we go our ways - I to die, and you to live. Which is better God only knows."

| I love that. I love the idea of equal treatment for all. No matter heritage, power, wealth, or fame.

| Yep it's nice. I agree. The Strength of Men comes With The Strength of their Conviction but when they have the Strength of Truth With Their Conviction they become Sinners Upon The Foot of Man. Power has no Play here.

| No one really likes the Truth. They want it there way or the highway. Imagine you show a slide show to a CEO of a business that exploits the poor in India where they send their manufactured products. The CEO doesn't want to see it, he/she has their own objective in mind.
Now again the poor guy on the street has to understand when they are hired on to a business they got to understand the bottom line. When they are hired they are hired to produce and it angers a lot of people that the bottomline is what they are there for.

| You've never thought of it? I think you have, just in different context maybe. Why do you think so many people are religious? It's because they don't like the truth; they're scared of it, in fact. They would rather believe in their fairy tales than embrace reality.

| Reality? Reality is relative to the individual's mind. I don't think everyone is religious because they are avoiding the truth. I think they are searching for it.

| Reality is not relative. Perspective is relative, but not reality.
Religious people believe they have the truth. What are they searching for?
