This is as good a place as any to post this. I've been kinda surfing your site here. I've come to the conclusion that this is NOT a site for the OPEN discussion of ideas. I would argue that it is a site for the closed minded folks that simply can't or won't discuss or debate "why or why not religion". All I've seen is alot of hate speech directed at mostly Christians. Even though your headers say that you will entertain ALL view points. You folks are some of the most miserable bunch I've ever seen in one area all at one time. I guess it's like someone once said,.. "Misery loves company". You all like to think you're this group of well-read, intellectual types. But you're not. You talk about how people like me or Abel sit and judge you. Yet you people are so judgemental toward anyone who holds a bible. Your narrow view is going to land you right in HELL. Yes, I said it. You are going to be damned to HELL by your own actions. And I'm sorry to say it but, you belong there, for the blasphemous remarks and the horrible, rotten pictures that you all seem to think are so "funny". So, if I get kicked off your site for speaking my mind, so be it. Not anything I can do about that. Your hearts are corrupt anyway. I hope you all find the LORD JESUS CHRIST and save your souls before it's too late. "Eternity is a really long time".

Speaking for myself, and only for myself, I admit to being rather close minded about religion. Guilty as charged. However, condemning me to hell for it isn't going to open many doors. All you have done so far is come on here and witness as best you can. This isn't how to win over the skeptics and unbelievers. Just a thought.

I direct you to the "funny pictures" section of this site. Both the pictures and the comments are rude, vulgar, and offensive. That is what I'm talking about when I say, yall aren't willing to be objective and open-minded. Yall throw around your atheism like a club that you use to bash Christians at every opportunity. So, the welcome mat is really out for us to come in and take a beating. Not to discuss issues. If I stepped on someones' toes, I will never hear the end of it...ie... Deb. But that's OK. No big deal.

Awww... Poor Buzz! He got his feelings hurt! You started the hate speech by calling people stupid you fool. Everyone was quite polite with you and even welcoming until that moment. I dont blame anyone for any abuse directed your way after that. Your bible teaches you that "you reap what you sow" and you sowed abuse & disrespect so thats what you reaped. I hope you learn a lesson from this.

Miserable? We have a great time here buzz. Sure we entertain all points of view, even unfortunately those such as yourself who like to throw around insults when they are at a loss for something smart to say. It amazes how people say things on the internet that they would never say to someones face. As far as this message board and Im sure I speak for most of us, no one wants to debate with someone that is calling them names. We may throw back a token insult but do not wish to waste any more time on idiots. Why dont you go to www.brojed.org and post there. You will find a lot of brainless idiots there who think exactly as you do. You will feel right at home. If you get kicked off this site it will be for your abusive behavior and not for your point of view, though your postings at this point most likely be ignored.

i've enjoyed some of your post, however some find it funny, other rude to have someone preaching hellfire and brimstone, i personally find it funny. hellfire and brimstone doesn't scare us. i'm fine with burning if i'm wrong, i'm happy about it. i'll have a smile on my face. i've heard demons can become more, does the devil get some of his demons from the hell sent? i might be a very happy demon fighting a knowen lost battle one day.

buzz, i don't think anyone is trying to push you out (with the exception of deb mabey). most of us are tolerant of other peoples' beliefs and oppinions. your problem is that while most of us are here for discussions, you (like most other christians who come here) are only here to preach at us and try converting us. just so you know, you aren't the first, so there isn't really anything new that we haven't already heard. i thought you were here to get insight of your son's beliefs. why don't you try discussing what our views are instead of trying to find the best way to convert us. you were doing good when you started your "seperation" thread. that started as a real discussion, but then it just became you preaching christianity. don't take this the wrong way; i'm telling you this because i'm trying to help you. you could do well here if you just adjust your behavior and stop trying to convert us. trust me, i've seen this work; we have had christians and muslims here who did just fine because they were not preaching their religion. as for your hell comment, i have already said that i am fine with this, and all you are doing is giving us a worse view of christianity. your post has left this impression: that when christians try to convert you, they begin all nice and try their best not to be offensive, and when that doesn't work, they come out with how they really feel about you: you are scum who deserves an eternity of pain. this is how i see you now, and i hope that you can show me that i'm wrong. i also hope you stay and try using some of my advice.

Like I said before ... you have to step into the world of verifiable and repeatable evidence to convince an agnostic.

You said you were a person who did not believe, but you were an SOB. Now you are not. Is this your only evidence for believing?

Is you interpretation of the Bible better than say, PsiCop's, Og's or Abel's?
Why is your interpretation the right one?

If you see a post that you disagree with or you feel you can add to by all means respond. If I may suggest, if you see something that you find objectionable ... just walk on by.

Your methods to try and make us see the light are at best crude; I don't know about everyone else, but I am hoping for intelligence, wit and logic.
