I can't help but wonder how long it's going to take for you to change back to being insulting..or maybe you actually mean your apologies this time, i can only hope you do.

Also,i respected my Dad more than I respect anyone for that matter, although that's none of your business..and i don't believe you should treat someone with more respect just because of their age, but because they deserve it..as for my Mom, I treat her with the same respect as anyone else.

No thing's gonna happen to you through the screen. Well, I've received my share of slings and arrows on this site. I guess I finally got mad enough to strike back and she just happened to be the target. I believe I already apologized for that. It was on this thread or another one. Can't remember exactly where now. But, just in case, I apologize to any and all of which I may have said some offensive things. How can I remedy the situation? I'm Sorry. When you refer to everyone as stupid, they take offense regardless of whether they are 14 of 84 years of age. You can expect slings in arrows in this case. You reap what you sow. Kay has every right to be offended and to commentate as everyone else. In these situations, you are better off just taking your lumps, apologizing and moving forward instead of fighting back and forth and singling out particular individuals because of their age. That just makes it worse. Youngsters deserve our respect and apologies just as much as adults. I remember one instance using profane language when talking to my friend in front of his young children. Though they didnt get angry with me I apologized to them for using profanity and still would have done so if they had gotten angry with me or called me on it. No big deal.

i don't mind profane language once in awhile, it gets annoying if its every other word. its intresting how Freaking and Fu_king produces different results when they could be considered subsitutes for the other. I guess thoses words meanings are partly in their connotations, its cool how the F word can be used as a noun, verb, adverb, adjective ext.

I know of at least one online forum where the filters are activated like this one that the root word "smurf" is always used in place of the F Bomb.

I dunno. I like having to use proper language here.

I give up. I can't catch a break from some of you people. I thought I made a pretty darn good attempt at a very sincere apology to the ENTIRE SITE. And I even went a step farther by apologizing personally to Kay. What more must I do? I am willing to just let bygones be bygones. Come on people. Let it go! Maybe some of you... NEVERMIND. It's in the past. :-)

There is no double standard. If you have a problem with it, report the post. If a moderator reviews it and considers it a personal attack then they will act accordingly and issue a warning or whatever we deem appropriate. Go and flag the post if you have a problem or not.

I'm not going to read every post on this forum and then try to infer the offense that individuals will take in response to certain statements.

As for your dismissal of her as a child, all I can say is that is completely illogical. Her age has nothing to do with the validity of her statements or points of view. To me, it seems like you both are behaving like children... age not withstanding.

I'm curious what kind of response you're looking for. I suggest you move on and engage in discussions if that's what you're looking for. I'm sure that people would welcome that instead of dwelling on this topic.

Are you suggesting that people should utterly forget this conversation and interaction? Your persona on the web is what you put forward and this is what you have chosen to put forward. Move on and partake in the discussion. If you don't want to be defined by this thread, then don't be!

You were wondering why we werent scolding Kay and mentioned a double standard. I just wished to address that. Thats all. Just giving you an FYI. Nothing more, nothing less.

I was not looking to admonish you or for any additional apologies. As a matter of fact, I wasnt even expecting a response from you. I was just hoping you would read it, understand the point, put it behind you and move to the next thread. As a matter of fact, I dont expect a response to this posting either, I am not admonishing you and I dont expect an apology. You are reading way too much into it. Just move on to other discussions and let this drop finally.
