I met Kay on another thread (the crazy cathy thread) and didn't even know she was 15 going on 16 (I think there is a song similar to that ... lalalalala) until this thread and she began posting stuff like jk and other acronyms like that ... made me realize that she was younger I checked her profile and found out her age and then realized that she wouldn't necessarily get my my innuendos or read between the lines like someone my age might (31 today).

ONCE AGAIN I try and utilize sensitivity with folks ... I don't tell suicidal people to "jump", I don't tell my critically ill patents to "walk toward the light" and I don't treat others like I have all the answers and if they would only listen to me I could put them on the path to warm and fuzzy nirvana .....

when i was 15 i had questions, but i think thoses questions we're good for me, i still have the same questions just more possible answers to thoses questions. 3 years alot can happen, alot stays the same, life can change in a second, or stay the same for years. i don't think age is a big factor in how well one can tell truth, its a factor in that the brain and body is at a different stage and theres less experience past the choke hold of memory. its interresting, memory gets jumbled up the older it gets, or so it seems to me. the closer to now and if its memorable it seems more clear and less fuzzy, like in a bottle neck and not mixed in as much with the other memories, i like going on tangets sometimes, they seem random but theres really connections between them. its crazy like i can go from cats to oranges to airplanes and there would probally be a connection on why i switch subjects, yea. lade da, one thing i hate is when someone uses their older age as evidence of their correctness, its like their saying they win by default becuse their older, its not neccassarly the case. haha i went back to a previous topic, i do that to, it goes in a circle a circle, i love warm nights/twilight

I grew up with a religiously-strict mom and an academically-strict dad. Combined with childhood-shyness, I guess my background is responsible for my tending towards a straight-edge. I also didn't have many friends outside the honors students group in my school district, so I was never exposed to anyone offering me any drugs/alcohol until college.

I still haven't done anything yet. But I'll be open to alcohol once I'm legal.



In general, I have no beliefs as to whether it's good/bad to drink/smoke/do whatever.

But for the sake of my meditation practice, I assume that I personally should avoid alcohol when I can (esp. before I turn 21), and avoid smoking/doing drugs period.

Whether someone else does it isn't my concern. Occasionally I have feelings of "(S)he shouldn't be doing that," but I don't consider those feelings important. So I guess I'd have no objections up to the level of being forced to drink/smoke/do whatever, or breathe second-hand smoke for the long-term.

Go back and re-read what I said, it wasn't that complicated. I was simply pointing out the illogic with the idea that people who are judgmental are less moral, because this is a judgment in itself making the point moot. I was helping her refine her logic and you flew off the handle. This should be simple enough for any 15 year old to understand, especially someone like her who shows some rare philosophical spark.

Well I'd like to make it clear it wasn't my intention to insult you, and I never called you a pervert. I called you abusive, not the sexual kind, but the mental kind. It's disturbing to know you have been around so many children, and no doubt stunting their philosophical growth based on the evidence I've seen here.

no way I'd stunt their growth ... no, dude I told you .... I lure them into my house made of candies and cakes so that I can fatten them up .... then I fold them into pie dough, next I shove them in the oven at 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes .... then "POOF"! a nice little kid pastry ... yep that's me .... right now a nick muffin sounds good yum!
