this probably has been done before but. Why do some "funny" preachers say "nothing mixed with nothing and created everything? nah, god did." that made no sense because then nothing would have to reproduce with nothing to create god. why can't we all just say we are here Someway?

But then those poor preachers will be out of a job and not living in those lovely mansions.

That is the argument from Divine Creation. God always was and is, its utterly irrational, but that is what religions thrive on. Of course I should meantion that being illogical does not mean it does not exist.

And my soul said, "Let us pass on. He is the realist, who turns his back on the whole he cannot grasp, and busies himself with a fragment."

I was listening to an interview with Stephen Hawking once, and he explained it pretty well. He said, to ask "what came before the universe" is a meaningless question, kind of like saying "what is north of the north pole."

I can think of a bunch of meaningless questions:
  • Why is a ball round?
  • What color is invisible?
  • How big is nothing?
  • Who made the universe?
  • ...

It's because by their definition god is everlasting, without beginning nor end, etc.

So god is the cause that made the universe exist, since there's nothing we know of that was created out of nothing.
