And for Hobbes, a thing is whatever you want it to be, just has to be singular in some sense of the word. I guess how general or specific you make it also goes toward the merit of the answer. I think many people would answer "God," but since he's sort of void here, and for good reason, I enjoy reading actual answers that make sense.
