Up here sex ed started in Grade 4, and that was when I was going to grade 4, which is what....uh....12 years almost? lol.
Interesting, and would you say you were mentally prepared to take on a lesson as serious as sex when you were in the fourth grade?

What's wrong with just having a continual open dialog with your child? Teach them information that is relevant to their age and comprehension level.

Teach children fear of the Lord and all matters will fall into place on their own

Teach them there is no God and they will stumble through life seeking nothing but self gratification and become very depressed

those who follow rules just for fear of punishment show that they obey only for their own benifit. this is not bad, since to be selfish is to be human. but for someone to follow rules without any threat of punishment, but just for the sake of the rules alone, show that they put the care of others before themselves.

people should love others more than themselves

there is nothing wrong with self sacrifice... it is a great quality only present in true God fearing individuals

Die.

Oh I'm sorry, sometimes I just have a strong thought in my head that begs to be let out.

Anyway, both of my parents are doctors so it wasn't really any kind of shock, and most of the kids didn't really get the point, I remember lots of giggles.

I think sex ed is too scientific, it should basically be something along the lines of, don't be a whore and always where a condom when you're making pleasure.

I think that's far better than all this cervix+vagina+penis+semen+ejaculation+ovaries & uterus= zygote then embryo then fetus then human.

Uh yeeeah, far better than the crap I stated above.

i think it is a contradiction to say that a god fearing person loves others more than themselves. how can it be self sacrifice when they are doing it for the rewards? true self sacrifice would be to take the punishment of another without any promise of heaven or other rewards. to take someone's place in hell for eternety would be true love and sacrifice.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having an open dialogue with your child, i just wish more people would come to realize that it's probably more effective than learning it from school, wether it be from your friends or from a sex ed class. Because then they're not just being told, they are hearing true stories that others have experienced that they can relate to and understand.
