Might consider ground rule of no ethnic slurs or bigoted generalizations. It would just clean up things on the outside, though. (Which come to think of it might make the world a better place).

I just heard an Auschwitz survivor on tape talking about how people went into take showers and instead of water, poisonous gas came out and killed them. The only way this could happen is if people honestly believe "Jewish businessmen and Jewish culture" is some such hateful way, I don't even know what he was talking about how they were supposed to be. And then if I say, what the heck are you talking about, it's already set up that I'm lying. People are people. While I know in order to have the possibility of getting rid of such ideas they must be discussed, having one's character attacked because of ethnicity is a tough one.
