Default Pilleas of Islam

sorry the title of the topic is mistaked the title is ''Pillars of Islam''
hello , here is a short note on pillars of Islam.

Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, relates that the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Islam is based on five articles:

1. To bear witness that there is none worthy of worship save Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah.

2. To observe Prayer (Salat).

3. To Pay Zakat (Alms giving)

4. To perform the Pilgrimage to the House of Allah (Hajj).

5. To Observe fasting during Ramadhan." (Bukhari)

Abdullah ibn Amr bin Aas, may Allah be pleased with them, relates that the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

"A Muslim is one against whose tongue and hands other Muslims are secure, and an Emigrant is one who departs from what Allah has forbidden." (Bukhari)

Coming with the new moon, the festival marks the end of 'Ramadan' - a month when Muslims fast throughout the day and eat only at night Prayers, feasts and family get- together are the major highlights of the celebrations. It was during this month that the holy Koran was revealed. Eid means recurring happiness or festivity. Eid is celebrated in India with much enthusiasm and fervor and Muslims from all strata of life can be seen adorned in beautiful new clothes, visiting the mosques to attend Salatul Eid (Eid prayers). Greetings of "Eid-Mubarak" or "a blessed Eid" are exchanged.

A very important aspect of eid is the charity, which all the Muslims are expected to extend to the needy. Earlier, this was in the form of gifts in kind but now cash is given to the needy. The first Eid of the year is known as "Eid Al Fitr". Al Fitr literally means breaking of fast. Thus Eid Al Fitr is celebrated on the first day of Shawaal, the tenth month in the Muslim calendar, to mark the end of a month long fast during the month of Ramadan. As the third "pillar" or religious obligation of Islam, fasting has many special benefits. Among these, the most important is that it is a means of learning self-control. Due to the lack of preoccupation with the satisfaction of bodily appetites during the daylight hours of fasting, a measure of ascendancy is given to one's spiritual nature, which becomes a means of coming closer to Allah. Ramadan is also a time of concentrated worship, reading of the Quran, purifying one's behavior, giving charity and doing virtuous deeds.

The secondary objective of fasting is a way of experiencing hunger and developing compassion for the less fortunate, and learn to be thankful and appreciative for all of God's bounties. Fasting is also advantageous to the health and provides a break in the cycle of rigid habits.

Eid Al Fitr is a day of joy and thanksgiving. On this day, Muslims show their joy for the health, strength and opportunities of life, which Allah has given them to fulfill their obligations of fasting and other good deeds during the month of Ramadan. It is considered unholy to fast on this day. It is also a day of forgetting old grudges and ill feelings towards other fellow men. The second important Eid celebration is called "Eid Al-Adha".

Although only the pilgrims in Makkah can participate in the Hajj fully, all the other Muslims in the world join with them by celebrating Eid Al-Adha, or "Celebration of Sacrifice." On the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic calendar, Muslims around the world celebrate this feast of commitment, obedience and self-sacrifice to Allah. They wear their nicest clothing and attend Salatul-Eid (Eid Prayer) in the morning. This is followed by a short sermon, after which everyone socializes. Next, people visit each other's homes and partake in festive meals with special dishes, beverages, and desserts. Children receive gifts and sweets on this happy occasion. In addition, like the pilgrims in Makkah, the Muslims, who can afford to do so, offer domestic animals, usually sheep, as a symbol of Ibrahim's sacrifice. The meat is distributed for consumption to family, friends, and to the poor and needy. Prayers are offered in mosques and Idgahs and elaborate festivities are held.

Dear Muslim brothers

I too, like anjil, am trying to understand you. I am a Christian and have met many Muslims in Australia. But there are a few things that many of them cannot or will not answer. I realise there asre major divisions and one is the Arabic Koran verses the others. Sunni and shiite etc do not always agree.
The questions and following statements are general and I want you to pick them to pieces so I can learn.
Some say Islam is not a religion of peace but a warrior code committed to global conquest. There are many, possible over one hundred verse that speak of violence to spread Islam. One surah says ,"take not the jews and Christians as friends...slay them...fight agianst them...Surah 5:51 and 9:5-41)

There is also a myth that Islam is a religion of love. What verse, if any, proclaim us to love anything.

Some say Allah is the same god as the Christian God. Some say Allah is not the Arabic name for God but a proper name for a specific god. The moon god and the crescent moon adorns mosques over all the world.
Rioting muslims will yel out, "Allaha Ackber". Some say this means Allaha is great but if I am correct it means Allaha is greater. If so greater than whom??? The God of the Bible?
Did Mohammod sign a deal with the Quaraish tribe and then two years later broke this treaty and wiped them out? Is this not celebrated today?

If any of this is false please inform me it is. Explain how all this is wrong and give me the Koran as your evidence, your holy book of peace.

Alexie! your believes about Muslim are not correct, unfortunetly,no Muslim has answered your questions.Certianly! their are two sects in Muslim like christians but all other your believes are not true.Allah is God,God of Prophet Mohammed(PBUH) and Prophet Essa(A.S).
This is amazing fact that Christian believe that Essa(A.S) had died at cross, wheras Muslim believe that Essa(A.S) has alive and living in the sky waiting to comeover the world after Imam Mehdi(A.S.) will come.

Hello

Lets talk about Issa then
Koran, Surah 3
42 And when the angels said: O
Marium! surely Allah has chosen you
and purified you and chosen you
above the women of of the world.
43 O Marium! keep to obedience to
your Lord and humble yourself, and
bow down with those who bow. “
44 This is of the announcements
relating to the unseen which We
reveal to you; and you were not with
them when they cast their pens (to
decide) which of them should have
Marium in his charge, and you were
not with them when they contended
one with another.
45 When the angels said: O Marium,
surely Allah gives you good news with
a Word from Him (of one) whose
name is the '. Messiah, Isa son of
Marium, worthy of regard in this world
and the hereafter and of those who
are made near (to Allah)
46And he shall speak to the people
when in the cradle and when of old
age, and (he shall be) one of the
good ones.
Isa is righteous
Mary chosen by God to bear
Jesus into the world
Isa is the Word of God
Isa is the Messiah
Isa is near to Allah/God
50
47 She said: My Lord! when shall
there be a son (born) to I me, and
man has not touched me? He said:
Even so, Allah creates what He
pleases; when He has decreed a
matter, He only says to it, Be, and it
is.

What to say about these verses:
3:42-43 At a dark moment in the history of the world, Allah did
something very unusual. Allah spoke through an angel to a young
virgin woman named Maryam. He told her that He had chosen her for
an unusual role.
3:44 The Koran says the angels cast lots to see who would be given
the privilege to guard over Maryam during the time of this assignment
that Allah had given her.
Muslims often call Jesus “Isa-Rohullah.” Why do we call ‘Isa by this
name? The answer is in Al-Imran 3:45.
3:45 Allah said that He would put his Word into Maryam. “Word” is
also the word for ‘breath’ or ‘spirit of Allah.’ (If necessary you can
reference Koran 4:171 “… speak the truth; the Messiah, ‘Isa son of
Maryam is only an apostle of Allah and his Word which He
communicated to Maryam and a spirit from Him.”) So the Koran
teaches us that ‘Isa Rohullah means “Jesus the Spirit of Allah.” Also
commonly used is, “Isa Kalamtullah” which means “Jesus the Word of
Allah.” Allah’s Word” (Rohullah) would become flesh in the form of a
baby. Allah told Maryam to name the baby ‘Isa Masih. Masih means,
“The Anointed or Promised One” Isa would be honored by all people
in this world and forever in heaven. Finally, Allah said that Isa would
be one of those nearest to Himself.
3:46 Furthermore, Allah said that Isa would speak to the world, not
only as an adult, but also from the cradle. How could Isa speak to the
world as a baby from the cradle? There was something about Isa’s
birth that is a testimony to the whole world! Allah also said that Isa
would be righteous. Ask if Isa ever sinned. They will agree with you
that, indeed, Isa never sinned.

ISA KNOWS THE WAY TO HEAVEN
Where Isa is now Koran, Surah 3
55 And when Allah said: O Isa, I
am going to terminate the period
of your stay (on earth) and cause
you to ascend unto Me and purify
you of those who disbelieve and
make those who follow you above
those who disbelieve to the day of
resurrection; then to Me shall be
your return, so l will decide
between you concerning that in
which you differed.

What to say about this verse:
3:55 It is exciting to read from the Koran that those who follow Isa
and do his work will be lifted above all the unbelievers in the world
At this point you will find this story helpful:
If I wanted to get from here to the capital city, who should I
choose to help me? Should I choose someone who has
never been there or someone who knows the way and lives
there now?

According to the Koran, Isa came down from heaven and is in heaven
today. Therefore Isa knows the way and can help us get there.

well my brother. Will you study your holy book and follow Jesus or stay in the half light. You have half the truth and one more step will take you fully into the truth. God bless you my brother.

Thank you Alexie!

I am glad to learn your knowledge and willingness to seek truth.Allah also says in Koran Sura Ikhlass: HE is not a son of anyone nor HE's son.
You said that Essa talk after his birth,Essa(A.s) had talked to give a proof that He is messanger of Allah and his mother(Marrium) is Innocent.
In the History second person who talk after birth is Imam Ali ibne Talib(A.S) born inside the Khana Kabba.Imam was reciting a Koran after his birth. One group of people "Nussari" beleive Imam ALI (A.S) God.
I am reading Koran, but first i need to purify my mind and heart for right perception.Koran has knowledge of all Universe, but it's not easy to perceive with sins. Some meaning are open some are in depth.I am praying for Allah to keep me on "Sirat-e-Mustaqeem" (Right way)
