Richard Dawkins talks a lot about that in his book, how atheists are looked down upon, even more than mormons!! lol j/k any mormons on here.

I agree about not preaching. I don't talk about this stuff anywhere but here unless someone has already brought it up, and even then I'm very selective in what I say, and have no desire to offend any of them (though they wouldn't be offended if they were true christians...they just have this image of me and I see no reason to change it).

I have been studying Islam and have brought some stuff in on the what is isalm thread. Have a look. Yes Chaps I believe we are all brothers and sisters and its Jesus who will unite us all to follow the one God we believe exists.

BS ... believing in Jesus, Muhammad or little green men from Mars isn't going to unite us ..... history has shown that believing in any deity, human, metaphysical. mythological or otherwise hasn't united us. Instead of studying religion only you need to incorporate history to get the big picture!

Religion is not the answer ... logic, common sense and reviewing history is.
