Aaron is on a distinguished road
Default Hello, I'm Aaron

I wanted to think of a really cool nick name to use, but am at a loss so I'll just go with my real name instead. I'm Aaron, nice to meet you.

As long as I can remember, I never have put too much faith in the entity we call organized religion. It's always seemed too simple an answer to a complex question. It is only recently that I've put the thought into the concept of agnosticism and declared myself as such.

I've viewed some of the forum discussions since I've registered, and much enjoyed the discussion. It is refreshing to see opinions that reflect my own.

Looking forward to some stimulating conversation.

Welcome to the forum Aaron, enjoy your stay.

There are plenty of us that haven't come up with cool names or avatars.LOL

I think you have already seen that this is a diverse bunch. There will be a few that try to "save your soul" and others who will blow your mind with the knowledge that they have. Jump into a tread even if some of it's over your head ... they will always take the time to either explain or give you a source to read up on .... there are only a few on this forum that I know of that won't show you respect ... for the rest of us, it won't matter if it's difference of age, academic background or whatever they will respect your opininons.... they may try to enlighten you but for the most part they share knowledge and it's up to the individual to accept or reject. It seems to me that most people on here enjoy sharing their knowledge and experiences. I hope you find this true also.

If you have a concern or question that cannot be answered on open forum there are always those that you can private message. Deb

Thanks An-Jel. I have to ask - what does Nulli Expugnabilis Hosti translate to?

Yes. Beware of Faith. He is so ignorant it seriously could cause brain damage (I feel slightly bad about always bashing him..oh well). Welcome

Yes, I've seen faith turn a good friend into a stranger. A couple of years of the right programing and he was saved and I became damned. The most amazing thing was that you couldn't even see the scar where they took out the free thinking part of his brain. Pleased to meet you.

It's Latin.

Conquered By No Enemy - Royal Gibraltar Regiment

It's a statement I think that fits the World at large. We are so busy fighting ourselves, busy with ourselves and everyone else, and trying to survive against each other. We should be a lot farther technologically and socially than we are now and I believe religion is one of the huge factors holding us all back. We're Fighting Ourselves and We are not the Enemy!

Probably a little more in depth and more than you wanted to know but there it is.

Depth is something you should get used to.
