Default Young Agnostic Here, Hello!

Hi All, Hows it goin'?

Was just searching for agnostic resources and literature and stumbled upon this site. I am 16 years old, and have been agnostic for many years, but just recently realized exactly what it was I thought. As a child I was introduced to the idea of christianity but not forced and as a steady religion. I went to church on and off for a couple years, but was never baptized. I recently have found my self to question many things about our modern world.

I believe that our modern world was shaped by age-old religion , politics , and families. Who practically control our modern worlds in all shapes and form. I have trouble finding other who relate my ideas, even though it is very fact based and I do not choose to believe what everyone else receives as hear-say.

I joined in hopes to share ideas and thoughts with other like-minded individuals.

Hi there!

I'm a young agnostic too, although I'm only 14. I've only met one other agnostic at my school, so I know how isolated it feels- they all tend to be Christian or Atheist (although predominantly the latter).

Good luck, have fun, and prepare to discuss.

Yeah, we did a poll and it turned out that Atheists outnumbered Christians by a fair amount. Whether this is relevant or not, our school is a Grammar School (a school where only those who pass a test can enter).

Welcome Ayekay!

That is interesting. I graduated from a pretty small catholic high school and its kinda funny, I tend to browse my fellow classmates myspaces and facebooks from time to time, almost every one ive seen has "athiest" under their religion now. You wouldnt think so many christians coming from christians schools would turn athiest but there are so many!!
I think change is on the horizon because the younger generations are not accepting these age old beliefs...

its good to see!
