Default Worship Me

My name comes from my new movie script and a character in my last previous novel but it suits me. Nothing Biblical if you've sounded out right. It's going to be fun and hopefully inventive for the right (religious-reich), I don't think about them much unless they attempt to impede me.

Nice to meet you all.

I dislike religion and I don't know whats out there in the real U(niverse). I would rather go by the guidelines given to me by what I see in reality NOT SOCIETY.

That's enough I think

if you havent noticed, religion isnt exactly a part of pop culture, so im not seeing whereyou get the "society" idea from.

The large majority of the US is christian. Isn't like 98% of the world Theists of one sort or another, and they all have their religions with all their rules and guidlines that you have to follow or else (insert wrath of various gods here).

I agree with An-jel. You don't need someone else telling you what to and especially what not to do. Live your own life and enjoy it. Welcome to the board!

I dislike Organised Religion too, that's one of the reasons I don't belong to it and don't go to church, we don't need them to do our thinking for us :)
After all, Jesus said - "You have one teacher, me" (Matt 23:10)

And he wants pals, not sugary-sweet groupies -"You're my friends if you follow me. I don't call you servants, but I call you friends.." (John 14:14/15)

And remember it was the Org Rel of Jesus's day that killed him because he said stuff to them like - "The prostitutes will get to heaven ahead of you,you think you look good in your fancy robes but inside you're full of filth and corruption!" (Matt 21:32/Matt 23:27)

As for life and the universe, Jesus can give you a few pointers -
"I'll tell you things hidden since the creation of the world" (Matt 13:35)

I know an alchoholic homeless person that lives on 155th street in New York. He'll make you the same promises. Saying Jesus said it doesn't make it any more true.

Arrow OK... working this out here with the notifications

if you havent noticed, religion isnt exactly a part of pop culture, so im not seeing whereyou get the "society" idea from.^^ I didn't notice sumguy... they are really trying to make religion a part of pop culture. Part of the reason I said it and I can cite a lot of examples... but I think one will due for me anyway at the moment cause I don't like a lot of conflict but I don't mind being engaged in one if lunacy tempts me.

Faith-Based and Community Initiatives

Thats the start only... I am new here and I would like to show you the whole game as far as pop culture is going.

Thanks Sithlord and Crystal. Just the level I was looking for. When Jesus and I were drinking beer at Bandcamp...

Mick I don't follow anyone... I either stand beside them or not at all. That includes a God!

Hi! I am new here. But I'd like to point something, and my intention is not to offend anyone.
MickinEngland, you are quoting the Bible, but actually what you quoute was written by men years after Jesus supposedly said them. So, most likely, Jesus might have said somehting on those lines, only it was perfected by the writers years after, when they decided that Jesus was somehow a special man.
I don't think the Bible is the "word of God", although it has some pretty interesting principles that I value still in my life... since I noticed that you quote the bible on other posts... just wanted to tell you my thoughts about that.

Ha ha ha another conspiracy theory
If you think the Bible was faked you'd have to say the same about all the other ancient books too like the Bhagavad-Gita, teachings of Buddha, Confucius, the Epic of Gilgamesh etc etc..
Hey 2000 years from now I bet the conspiracy theorists will be claiming Elvis never existed, right Elvis?
"Uh-huh"..

Nice thing I am not interested in religion but I don't mind the possibility of thinking there is a real God(s). I just want the Truth and No One Knows It Yet!
