Smile Hello

I'm in the process of deconverting from Christianity, and not sure really what I believe at this point. Looking for a new forum "home" since I'm no longer welcome at my old (Christian) ones.

Wecome laceknitter

hope you enjoy your stay here.

I'm surprised that Christians would not continue to be welcoming.

I deconverted from Christianity some 20 years ago and, guess what. I'm still "not sure really what I believe at this point". All I know is that what I do believe syncs with (at least my concept of) logic and reason, and I think that's good enough for me. My beliefs provide me with what I consider to be a pretty good set of operating principles, so I feel no need to have "all the answers", although I admit having them would be pretty neat. But having "all the answers", as opposed to being comfortable with "a pretty good set of operating principles" would require abandoning logic and reason and entail a leap of faith that would make me very uncomfortable indeed.

Just a bit of a preview of the condition that likely lies in store for you, and I hope it brings you a measure of peace as it has for me.
