Okay, I am finally able to admit to myself that I am agnostic. For the longest time I felt that I had more respect for religos and atheists than agnos because at least the religos and atheists were able to make a decision and stick with it. That and my strict, evangelical upbringing had me convinced that there is truth out there in religion somewhere. So I spent a lot of years looking at all the religions in the world and found that there is no absolute truth to be found in them. Okay, GREETINGS, I'm new here. Thanks.

Welcome Buck

some may say there is no such thing as absolute truth (or anything for that matter). I don't believe that for I have seen adverts for Absolut Vodka.

all the best

Welcome to the forums. I think it important to add that even though we all acknowledge the limitation on our ability to 'know' the answers to life's questions that doesn't mean we have to stand on shaky ground where our beliefs are concerned.

I have always viewed the Agnostic "I don't know" as a declaritive statement and not one of confusion or meekness. I also believe that it is empowering and gives the individual morals and beliefs that we have that much more value.

Again welcome to the forums I hope you enjoy your time here.
