Hi. I'm an atheist who has staryed to christianty only to begin where I started; only with more knowaldge and a greater understanding of christianty and why i disbelieve in it, and all other theistic religons. I currently post on the bbc religon and ethics messages board alot but that closes early and i found this whilst looking for another place i can discuss religon and philosphy.
I have reccently become intrested quite deeply in both religon and philosphy and look forward to sharing my veiws with you all and to hearing all of your veiws

I find it interesting that you went from atheist to christianity and back to atheist again but not surprising. Have you ever considered an evolved conception of God that isnt based on religious doctrine or the bible? If not, and your interested, I recommend you start with near death experience research (those are people who clinically died and came back and spoke of a different kind of heaven and of beliefs that are way more sensible and different than religious ones). Of course this isnt required or anything, just making a recommendation in case your interested. Otherwise welcome to the boards and jump right in!
