Hello. I found your reasoning for why you decided to be Christian pretty much the same way I decided to be a Satanist (Atheist kind) I couldn't possibly look at the universe and think a being such as a God created it.
And welcome to the forum. I look forward to your posts.

A theist and a satanist uniting, how poetic. Has all rational thought gone to the curbside? Geshtinnanna, Gaius is sending you to hell.........

I am speechless.

Does anyone have a pogo stick to smack me over my head to let me believe in this union?

You must really like pogo sticks. Can you try for something else because that along with the word drivel has reached its maximum usage. I don't think we were uniting. I believe it was me welcoming someone who found their path in a similar manner to mine. And I am not threatened if he says I am going to hell. Now I'd be upset if he was sending me to the DMV on a Friday afternoon. THAT I believe in. Try being civil once in a while. Maybe people wouldn't talk behind your back and snicker.

Why does humanity stretch towards incongruities rather towards reason is beyond my comprehension.

This openly displays your immaturity and your unreasonableness. Snicker all you want behind my back...your petulance is far cry from maturity.

It really shows you are an open pervert. You have to play the game somewhere.

I'd rather be a pervert than an anti-semantic.

Actually I snicker to your face. I mean the others. They snicker behind your back. Immature? Unreasonableness? I don't go attacking new members right off the bat like some childish brat. I think I was just being polite and making way for dialog to a new member. You know, it's that thing grown ups do. Try it out...when you are old enough.

To Gaius:
While I don't agree with, or completely understand, your evolution toward christianity, I don't think you, or anyone else, should be subjected to the intellectual pablum regurgitated onto these pages by the likes of "Gettin' In Tune".

To Gettin' In Tune:
The only logical conclusion I can reach with regard to the posts I've seen from you to date is that you want to amass as many as possible, whether they make sense or not. If you have something substantive to contribute, please post it. If not, please go away.

I am leaving and it is not due to my unsubstantiated claims, but due to my bitterness against faith, especially personal faith. This forum reeks with it and then hides behind the curtain of being open minded. I do not know when agnostics became a halfway house for christians, but it leaves me with a bitter taste. A bitterness that has grown due to the convolution of agnosticism. Agnostics has come to meant an wishy washy belief in god. Again, what god? A god that breeds a half way house between reason and delusion.

Yes, I have grown bitter due to what agnostics have become. They are not freethinkers like they once were. I have been an enemy of the state to challenge this.

Now it's your playground to shrug your shoulders and say "maybe" without being honest. It pains me to the point of bitterness to see honesty become sacrificed. It pains me to see agnosticism become twisted and convoluted.

I have nothing more positive to add, so I break. I will leave for awhile.
