| Hinduism is considered a religion, but actually it's a way of life Here are my views on Hindusism, and you cant talk about it without mentioning Islam or Sikihism...
Hinduism is the oldest major organized religion in this world. It is mainly practiced in India. They believe is reincarnation of the soul. Most Hindus consider cows and snakes sacred. They worship the nature and try to be at peace with it. Most Hindus also believe in Karma. Karma is a system where beneficial events are derived from past beneficial actions and harmful events from past harmful actions. A large partition of Hinduism does Yoga. Islam and Hinduism are mortal enemies. That is the reason Sikhism was created.
Sikhism is a very interesting religion. It began in sixteenth century in Northern India. The Muslims started to forcibly convert Hindus to Islam. The Hindus wanted to stop that, so they decided to pick out the most aggressive Hindus and turn them into protectors. That is how the first Singhs were created. To distinguish them they would wear turbans, orange robes, a sword and they would have long beards. It is the only religion ever created specifically against Islam. |

| i thought Judeaism was oldest. Hinduism only started about 500 years after the Aryan invasion of India.

| A true Hindu True Hindi are actually born into their religion. Hindus in America believe that there is a way in which people are allowed to consider themselves apart of the Hindu faith. A new interpretation began in the 12th and 17th centuries in India as movements that were made to allow Hindi to pray to the same gods, called bhakti. The truth is that Hindi don't believe that whites are true arayans, rather that blacks are. They themselves are an arayan race, most possibly because the interpretation was that these Vedic arayans invaded India and left writings, today we call the Vedas, which are the end of the Upanishads. These are all written in a secret language called Sanskrit. Today Americans and other countries allow people to join the Hindi faith in this "allowance," called bhakti.

| From what I've read and I've taken World Religion courses in University, vedic traditions that hinduism is based on are over 9000 years old. And traditionally the Judaic traditions only go back just over 5000 years.
The vedas are certainly the oldest religious text to date, as far as I know.

| I find this topic quite interesting... but I am always confused by the difference between Hinduism and Hare Krishna...because someone gave me a free Bhagavad Gita to read and I tried to understand it (I have not finished it) and I gathered that it was a continuation of whichever book the Hindus go by that is similar to the Bible (Forgive me if I am wrong, I am quite uneducated on the matter but always fascinated by the eastern religions). |

| Spirits are the oldest form of belief system. A gathering of incidental coincidences and laziness created the Gods and then the mundane mind created a singular God (personally I like the concept of a single God the Universe seems to flow like this so far... so far.) The weak created bad Gods or the like, to blame it all on.

| Interesting coincidences about Vedas. It has the same root word as Vedat in Russian which means to know. It is created by civilization that migrated to the Indo-Valley. Arkaim, the most wondrous city found today dates farther back than the pyramids. Ukrainian, Indian and Russian all have same root words and are descendants of one race, which Hitler so longed for. The Aryan race that is.Now lloking at that history, isn't that a little weird?
