I stopped standing up for personal couples period. It seems that if a person (male or female) don't have the common sense to leave an abusive spouse then they deserve what they get. Now if they do and the spouse starts stalking them well thats a whole different ball game all the way around.

I totally agree with this. I have lots of girlfriends who are in crappy relationships. Anytime anything pro active is suggested I get a 'I love him'. I told my last friend I will be putting that on her grave after the final beating.

That is so sad, but so true. Had a friend like that who I found sobbing on her steps. She had run away from him because he beat the s*** out of her. Hung out a long time, and tried to talk some freaking sense into her, but the same night, she went back for more. After that, she totally couldn't look me in the face. I hope she got away, but wouldn't be surprised if she's dead and he's in jail. Life sucks when you put up with stuff like that.

Anyway, I think that the whole idea of a goddess is kind of cool. I like the religions that celebrate both genders and the unification of couples. Still don't think there is a god, but I like to refer to her as a goddess, just to shake things up a bit, or sometimes I'll prefer Dionysus, the Greek god of wine.

The holy spirit is not a godess.
The holy spirit is part of the trinity, and the trinity is one God who is everywhere. And God is refered to as "God" which would mean the holy spirit isnt a goddess.
But i have never ever heard that before very interesting.

You know God could be the Goddess' name. Just cause God is labelled God (I think God is a pretty old term to describe the divine supernatural forces, I mean the Christians could have came up with something more original, Allah and Jehovah are much better) doesn't define the sex except in the book. The Goddess could be called God as a name. Being that She would be the Supreme Being She could call herself anything she wants.

see i personal dont think God has a gender but he could, and to me if he does it would be "God""male" becuz he is refered to as "he" in the bible.

I would also go with the genderless thing. And the 'he' used to describe god is almost certainly the product of a patriarchal society.
