| The theory is if you perform rituals that please a deity, that deity will bestow blessings upon you. A new son. A bountiful harvest. Or even become like the deity yourself.
People who worship Jesus have a good heart but wrong instructions.
The master wants you to walk with him, not kiss his feet.

| Yes.
Ever hear that if you meet Buddha on the road, you must kill him?
Even masters are in a state of evolvement. If a gifted student comes their way, they will do all that they can to help that seeker propel themselves forward. There is no kind of competition. Everyone evolves at a different rate. This is seen clearly as inner vision opens.
We all belong to a central source. A godhead. A divine mind. Composed of all the minds of all the souls ever created. Souls can be compared to individual brain cells. Little power by themselves. But link them up in the proper way, they can build worlds upon worlds.
There is a natural attraction back towards the godhead. But given your power of creativity, you are able to assemble many obstacles along the way. This is a result of having a small perception of the world.
To be a seeker, is to have a wide enough perception of how intimate you are with cause and effect. Once this is understood, you begin to live your life according to that refined perception. Some people change overnight. Most will change with the passing of the years. Like a flower that unfolds in slow motion.
The only way to widen perception is to move beyond yourself. You must learn to feel the pain and joy of other people as if it were your own. And when you have done that, you must feel the animals, and the planets, and the cosmos.
Because it never really ends. How far do you want to travel beyond the comfort zone of "self"?
You can cling to that identity, or you can give it up in order to have it all.
Your human identity will die with time anyway. Eternal life is your true nature.
How long do you want to play this game?

| Why worship Jesus? Simply this -- He is worthy of worship. There are several reasons for this. I will only mention those that touch me personally.
First, because He is God. (John 1:1) The deity of Christ has been denied by non-believers for the last two thousand years. This is nothing new. Yet, it is by the power of Jesus Christ all things are upheld (Hebrews 1:3). Most people do not like the idea of being held accountable for their actions. So, they have adopted the idea that there is no God. If there is no God, Jesus cannot be God. Therefore, they do not have to answer to Christ.
Second, because of His love for me and all mankind. Jesus proved His love by taking our place on the cross of Calvary. He died in our place. He died, not because of His sins, but ours (I Pet.2:24). Because of my sins.
Thirdly, because He set free from the bondage of sin, those who accept His gift of freedom (John 8:36). I speak from experience. Jesus set me free from the prison of alcohol, and a long list of other things I am not proud of, and prefer not to mention. When I gave myself completely to Jesus, He created a new creature (2 Cor.5:17). I don't do the things I used to; I don't say the things I used to; I don't go to the places I used to.
Finally, because of the promise of eternal life that He has promised me and to all those who accept Him (John 14:1-3). This is the greatest gift ever offered to man.
In summary Jesus is worthy of my worship because He gave me life and all that I have, He died in my place, He set me free, and He gave me eternal life. If you have never met Jesus, I would not expect you to have experienced Him as I have.
I find it incredulous that people reject Jesus without truly attempting to meet Him. People are wise in their own eyes, and fulfill the Scripture (Rom.1:21-22). |

In my world, there is no prayer or worship because there are no deities.
Nothing between this human soul and the sea of conscious energy it came from.
When you make the realization that all souls are just an extension of a singular conscious source, the idea of worship no longer makes any sense.
Because this is such a hard concept for most to get a grip on, religion gives the divine human qualities for the sake of understanding. This is why "God" is seen by many as a father figure, and Jesus as a son.
Jesus "identified with" the divine. He didn't worship it because to such a person, there is no seperation.

One does not worship a roadsign that points the way. One walks the road according to the roadsign.
You must walk, not worship.

Just what I was thinking!
