Reminds me, any one heard of the "jesus of suburbia" guy? He claims to be Jesus come back to Earth ( he resides somewhere in the U.S. i think)......seems to me he's a fruitcase, no pun intended. | Yeah, I think he was here in Florida not to long ago, it makes you wonder though that if Jesus did come back would we(the public) try to crucify him again or worse, feed him to the media , especially if he came back as a black woman or some other such minority. My guess is that we would, even and especially the Christians here in the states, even though their religion calls them to be tolerant and non-judgmental most are neither.

How can we be so arrogant and egotistical to believe that the whole Universe was created just for us? |

| God has no limits at all; therefore no "natural" laws apply to Him.
Take the old supposed connundrum "Can God create a rock so heavy that even He can't lift it?"
The answer must be "Yes He can make a rock that is beyond His power to lift. Then if He wishes, He will will Himself stronger, then lift it with ease."
God's perfect will simply cannot be limited or resisted by either the corporal or the spiritual, if indeed He's all powerful. |

| Hi Brian
You seem to know more about god than I.
What is your evidence for a god and judging by the example you give a Christian God?
thanks

You no doubt have lots of Christian friends who validate your assumption that we're more intolerant than you, and more judgemental than you?
As for the "Jesus" guys---when Christ returns for real, no one will have to wonder whether or not it's Him. This won't at all be like His previous appearance. |

No---you seem to know more about God than I do, Romansh.
I got all my information from one book and a possible feeling of His presence that may or may not have been (and continue to be) an illusion or the result of some mental anguish or defeciency.
I'd prefer to learn from you for now. |

I'd prefer to learn from you for now. | OK ... gotta go to work in a minute but,
for me I can see no sufficient evidence sufficient to declare that there is or is not a god. The evidence for a theistic type of god is poor, and explanations that theists use to explain such a god are convoluted and, for me, extremely unlikely.

I was agnostic for 28 years myself, so I understand exactly where you're coming from. |
