an·i·mal Audio Help /ˈænəməl/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[an-uh-muhl] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun 1. any member of the kingdom Animalia, comprising multicellular organisms that have a well-defined shape and usually limited growth, can move voluntarily, actively acquire food and digest it internally, and have sensory and nervous systems that allow them to respond rapidly to stimuli: some classification schemes also include protozoa and certain other single-celled eukaryotes that have motility and animallike nutritional modes.
2. any such living thing other than a human being.
3. a mammal, as opposed to a fish, bird, etc.
4. the physical, sensual, or carnal nature of human beings; animality: the animal in every person.
5. an inhuman person; brutish or beastlike person: She married an animal.
6. thing: A perfect job? Is there any such animal?
–adjective 7. of, pertaining to, or derived from animals: animal instincts; animal fats.
8. pertaining to the physical, sensual, or carnal nature of humans, rather than their spiritual or intellectual nature: animal needs.

Animal doesn't suit me either. Actually man was created to have dominion over the aminal world -- Psalms 8:6-9 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

the first one (which is the real definition) suits you perfectly. the rest of your definitions refer only to the meaning of the term in common usage.

Ok greywolf, you win. Think of me in any way you want. I can't stop you of thinking of me as an animal if you choose to. Maybe I'll start thinking of you as a fruit. You can't stop me either.

Personally, I choose to think of myself as a human being. A man created in the image and likeness of God. Hey, but to each his own.

You got it, it's because of our ancestry and evolution. Most of us try hard to not act like animals. I am glad you are so special though.

Why are you here?

Why is he here? To spread the word among all the nations. Isn't that what God in Christ commanded?

Isn't that why almost all the religious people are here?

Reminds me, any one heard of the "jesus of suburbia" guy? He claims to be Jesus come back to Earth ( he resides somewhere in the U.S. i think)......seems to me he's a fruitcase, no pun intended.

sorry, i didn't mean to sound insulting. i was just trying to point out how humans are classified as mammals, thus we are animals. i dont really see this as an insult.

Animal, fruit, vegetable...it really doesn't matter. Have a good one, Abel.

Your knowledge of good and bad/evil/sinful is definitively godlike.
The above is just one example of many.
