I'm with Og on this one .... it's all in the brain .... emotions are triggered by the chemicals in your brain. If you see something pleasing your eye sends that pleasing science to your brain where it triggers a chemical reaction, that same if see something repulsive. It's conditioning that makes certain emotions repetitive.
Faith: you are way off base about the love between a mother and a child ... being an adoptive mother I can guarantee that I was not in love with Alex the moment they put him in my arms .... that was about 10 breaths into his life ... it took me longer to love him and now I love him dearly but I remember the day I fell in love with him .... it was chemical and he continued to trigger that chemical response and I would respond the same every time and to this day he can do the same thing and trigger that same emotional response but it is triggered by chemical and conditioning .... 16 years later still the same.
